Pre-Release Single #2 [PLAY]
‘PLAY’ continues the voice of the deep night expressed by the previous single ‘Stay Tonight’, it contains the story of more beautiful hot afternoon than the night which blurred the boundary between day and night. After a secret and private moment, the lyrics were filled with bold and striking words like the angle of the midsummer sun.
Starting with Remedy, CHANGMO's rap which presented a new narrative combining the title of CHUNG HA's singles, was perfectly harmonized to complete a picture as if drawing a pupil.
This song is a Latin pop with various elements of reggaeton arranged in each section. The guitar sound at the verse is scattered off the beat with an iconic reggae rhythm, warms the space with an acoustic guitar sound and a synthesizer sound that unfolds instantly from the pre-chorus, then a brass section and dembow rhythm with the climax chorus light a heart to everyone with a feast of rhythm.
‘PLAY’는 이전 싱글 ‘Stay Tonight’이 표현했던 깊은 밤의 목소리에 이어, 낮과 밤의 경계가 흐릿해져 밤보다 더 아름답고 뜨거운 오후의 이야기를 담고 있다. 은밀하고 비밀스러웠던 순간을 지나 한여름 태양의 고도처럼 강렬하고 과감한 단어들로 가사를 채웠다.
Remedy로 시작해 청하의 대표 곡의 제목을 이어 새로운 내러티브를 선사한 창모의 랩은 마지막으로 눈동자를 그리듯 완벽하게 어우러져 하나의 그림을 완성하였다.
이번 곡은 레게톤의 다양한 요소를 섹션마다 배치한 라틴 팝이다. 오프 비트에 뿌려지는 기타 사운드로 레게 특유의 리듬으로 벌스를 환기하고, 프리 코러스부터 고조되는 순간 펼쳐지는 어쿠스틱 기타 사운드와 신디사이저 사운드로 공간을 데워, 절정으로 치닫는 코러스부터 시작되는 브라스 섹션, 뎀보우 리듬의 향연으로 모두에 마음에 뜨거운 불을 붙인다.

She is so sweet, and truly treats dancers like family. I saw a clip of her backstage at an award show. She wasn't at all concerned about whether she would win. What she was concerned about, was making sure ALL her dancers left with pastries that she bought on an overseas trip. I remember her asking each dancer if they'd grabbed some. She even crammed loads of pastries into one dancer's hands, like she was afraid she would starve LOL

She's really different frm other idols. You can see that she's really enjoying her songs and dance pieces not like some idols who are being pushed to do specific genres and type of dancing that's why their sincerity and energy can't be felt through the screen.

If anyone’s confused why ChungHa said “THAT’S MY STAR” at 1:14 it’s bc that is the choreographer, Rian. She choreographs many groups’ and soloists’ songs, and her yt channel is Dancer Rian’s Jobby Hobby. She’s choreographed many of ChungHa’s songs, and I think she choreographed Gotta Go.

I might get hated for saying this but I'm slightly happy IOI disbanded like Chungha is an awesome soloist... When I watched IOI'S MV - What a man, like honestly I didn't notice her at all .... I became a fan around Gotta go era so I did a lot of research on her and I was shocked ...like wow ... I don't hate IOI....I'm happy she's a soloist and killing it ... She's so talented and makes me smile ... Gotta go has been my ringtone since then ☺️

a list of chungha's friends that i know 0:33, 0:37 shin jiwon (halter top) is one of the big names in the choreography game. she's taught at pretty much all the major dance studios in seoul. her youtube is "shin jiwon dancer's life" 1:10 rian, the chorographer for this and many of chungha's songs. her youtube page is "rian's jobby hobby" 0:41, 1:39 (bob haircut) kwon doyeon, chungha calls her ttotto. i haven't seen her in any choreography roles, but i have seen her in pretty much all of chungha's dance performances. 1:46, 4:26 wish i knew the name of the two girls in front, but honestly all the dancers are very attractive and very good at what they're doing. 8:22 simeez (holding the camera) is another choreographer friend who has made a name for her self in all the major dance studios

at first in 2017 when she debuted, i was worried for her as a soloist but damn she proved me wrong. each comeback she just gets better and better!!!!

This is so refreshing to watch. The dancers and Chungha are very comfortable with each other and it just shows how friendly they all are! It proves how kind and Chungha are because she doesn't let her status affect how they treat her/ how she treats them

i love how chungha cares for the dancers, and giving all of them her album, we stan a queen. they're like a one big family, imagine all of them as a group.

Whe I. O. I went separate ways (😢😔) and I knew Chungha was going to be a soloist, I was worried she would feel lonely. I'm so glad to see her this close and comfortable with the team, and not only good team work she's also actually friends with some of them ❤️❤️❤️ Chungha Queen 💖💖💖
