CID 1956 (HD) - Dev Anand - Shakila - Waheeda Rehman - Bollywood Old Movies

A newspaper editor, Shrivastav, is killed when he was about to expose the underworld links of a very rich and influential person. He calls over his friend, Inspector Shekhar, to talk to him about the threat he receives from the underworld. Srivastav dies by the time Shekhar arrives. He remembers that he saw a suspicious person by the elevator and borrows a lady's car to chase him. The lady throws a fit (and even throws the car keys in the mud when it is raining outside) and they lose the chase. In the morning the two return home when they find the keys. Meanwhile, on the crime scene, petty pickpocket Master (Johnny Walker) is found at the scene and confesses seeing the whole murder. Shekhar uncovers some of the gang, and Master identifies the killer who is put in jail.

The movie was the biggest hit of 1956. The song " Ai Dil hai muskil jeena yahan " was the no.1 song of 1956 in binaca geet mala. O.P. Nayyar the musician got filmfare award for it. All time masterpiece still loved by all.

This movie was a Fantastic One. Guide was the Best movie of Dev Anand, but I liked the C.I.D. most. I had seen this movie several times. This movie is really Unforgettable.

This is really awesome movie.. dev aband वहीदा Rehman shakila acted very well.. music and song picturisation was really superb.... story although not too good but it was intial era so finally we can consider this movie as सुपरहिट ....

What a gripping suspense till the end. Amazing. Really worth its weight in gold. Even the goons had character. They refused for murdering as one of them has been cheated and killed in lockup.

Those were his struggling days. In initial days of his career, he did whatever kind of role he got. But, later, he became a very successful actor. He mostly used to do supporting roles or comic roles. During his prime time, he was one of the highest paid actors and used to be paid off much more amount of money than the hero and the heroine of the film.

Modern day movies shows dark sides of human beings,society and realistic approach which were absent in old movies. Movies like gully guliyan, gulal, masan, photograph, lunchbox, manto are outstanding movies of current time. These philosophica,l song movies are no near today's realistic movies

Wonderful movie , nice acting, awesome story and songs and yes the evergreen actor Dev sahab superb. I am just 17 years old and enjoying this movie but my friends just watch hollywood movies (I know they are also awesome) but they says that bollywood is garbage but I think earlier bollywood was a gem❤️👍
