This moment in history represents a major threshold of transformation, and understanding the current rare planetary alignments can provide us with invaluable insights about the deeper forces at work. Where are the planets at this time, what forces are at play, and what-if any-are the historical precedents?
Join CIIS professor and renowned scholar Richard Tarnas for an illuminating talk examining what’s happening in the stars during this challenging time. Richard draws from his work in archetypal astrology, an approach influenced by Jungian and transpersonal psychology that studies the connection between the changing positions of the planets in the solar system and archetypal patterns in human experience and history. Employing this lens, Richard helps us better understand the profound drama currently facing the Earth community.

Also from Vaclav Havel: “Our respect for other people… can only grow from a humble respect for the cosmic order and from an awareness that we are a part of it… and that nothing of what we do is lost, but rather becomes part of the eternal memory of being.” Thank you for the beautiful wisdom Richard Tarnas !

This talk is amazing and gives me hope and faith and reminds me to what point we are connected to one another and to the universe. Can't thank you enough. Rick, could you recommend a couple of astrologers who work along your lines? I have been waiting for an astrologer with this kind of large view to cross my path. I feel this may be the moment, hearing your talk.. Very earthshaking events in my personal and emotional life have occurred over past couple of years with people closest to me..have been searching to understand (you partially explain in your talk.) would like to carry it further through a good reading as you suggest--with the right person. It has been and continues to be a great learning experience in my personal life. And now Covid...a universal challenge.... Who could be my astrologer for a reading? (I have had several amazing readings at different crucial points in my life...am due for another now. Many thanks for what you have given to me through your talk....Melba

How is it possible that Tarnas could completely skip over the tight Eris square to Pluto right now, which means that Eris is also square the ongoing Jupiter and Saturn transits to Pluto. This is the first hard Pluto/Eris aspect since Eris was discovered, and look at what is going on, except Tarnas doesn't mention it.

Can someone name the German poet he quoted?

Vaclav Havel, the poet, dissident and President of Czechoslovakia in the 19990's. " ... a world democratic order .... built on the revitalized Universe" . Great stuff, huh?

@@margaret539 thank you, the Vaclav Havel quote was nearing the end. I was wondering about something he said mid-interview. I don't think i've heard of the poet he mentions. I don't think it was Schiller or Rilke or i imagine i'd have recognized the name if not the quote. But thanks for trying to answer my query
