One of my favorite shows ever. He plays a bad guy that you like and does it perfectly. I was sad when the woman who played Polly passed away and hated that the show ended but I definitely understand cause she was a great actress and a huge part of the show

@@laimejannister5627I think it’s because the British ruled India from 1858-1947 which a lot of people from that territory grew up with a hatred for the British. However, Murphy and Ferguson aren’t British. Murphy is Irish and Ferguson is Scottish so it doesn’t make sense to be mad over a joke

I agree with you and I laughed but I also understand that can be hard for some if they have been made fun off for the exact same stereotypes during their whole life. For you or the host, it is funny because it is not as your expense and you didn’t already hear it a million times. For some people it might have a negative overtone, even if it isn’t necessarily meant as an insult. Even if you think there is no limits in comedy you don’t go around and constantly make jokes around your grandma about how old she is; one must be aware of other peoples reaction, good or bad.

Cillian tried to suppress a chuckle as he said “ yeah” when Craig started with the accent. In any case, both Cillian and Craig are wrong about what a Birmingham accent sounds like. Birmingham is in Alabama and there is no way that anyone from Alabama sounds remotely Pakistani, Indian or South African.

I live in Dudley just outside Birmingham which is home to the Black Country Living Museum that has a lot of period accurate buildings still in place that some of Peaky Blinders has also been filmed at.
