Until Tom Keifer purposely strayed from what was on their album about three songs into the concert. Confirming that it was in fact live. Motley Crue had me wanting to leave the concert by their third song. They were horrible! Unlistenable. That's why they relied so heavily on a stage sideshows in concert. I'm the opposite ... I've only just started to discover these guys, because back in the 80s I was stuck on listening to blues, and the only 'rock' artists I listened to were Deep Purple, Rory Gallagher, Johnny Winter & Rick Derringer. Where I lived, LP albums were hard to come by and money was tight, plus I had other interests (motorcycles & ham radio). So just recently, since Pandora & iHeart Radio became a thing on the internet, I decided to listen to Krokus because a friend is a frontman singer in a Krokus cover band (yes, a cover band of a cover band ... great stuff!). Then through iHeart Radio I stumbled across Dokken (I LOVE THAT BAND!!!), which I saved as ' favourite' in iHeart Radio, and of course I'm now hearing Cinderella, Telsla, Quiet Riot, Motley Crue, Warrant, Ratt, Kix, Twisted Sister, Great White, Scorpions of course, Poison, Lynch Mob of (love George's guitar tone & chord phrasing). Musically, the glam metal bands of the 80s are just absolute superstars ... the musical arrangements, vocals, guitar tone & technical skills, plus top bass & drum skills ... so many artists were right up there, total music Gods. Whilst I didn't get into them 30 years ago, now I am ... great music 'for the road' when I'm driving. Some time back I hit a horrible patch in my life, battling depression & anxiety, but once I started listening to these glam metal / American rock 'hair bands' loud in my car, my morale instantly improved and I seem to cope well in my daily life. The thing that amazes me most is the musical creativity of these glam metal bands who just knew how to put the whole package together. A big thanks to Loudwire & Tom Keifer for this KZfaq clip! :)

@@Jonathan-L So glad you are getting to enjoy the soundtrack to my youth. You are so correct when saying the 80's rock is a uplifting of your spirits. That's what made that music so great. It was mostly about having fun. Then the 90's came in with its gloom and depression. As Poison said " just looking for a good time". That's all America did in the 80's. Was have a good time. Keg parties every weekend. Maybe a fist fight now and then. But, nothing like shootouts of today's parties. And you were so right speaking of the musical talent of the 80's bands. Some best Musicians ever. Every band had a rippin guitarist, BadAss rhythm section. And the lead singers had something that made them great. Whether it be singing, song writing, or a great showman. Thanks to modern technology. I have about every album worthy of owning from the late 60's thru the early 90's. The greatest era of rock music ever. I am thrilled that you are experiencing the rush of that music. That we felt during the day. Singing the Whitesnake album all drunked up at a keg party. Getting stoned and drunk to "Appetite for Destruction" album. Rockin "Lynch Mob" extremely loud in our earth shaking sound systems. Thanks for your post. It took me down memory lane for a few.

@@billthornton847 Many thanks for your heart warming reply Bill. When I grew up as a kid, the first 'rock' music I heard was probably The Beatles (and whatever else was popular on the radio, once we could afford a radio!). In the early 70s, my favourite was Joe Cocker, then in the mid 70s I was a fan of SAHB (Alex Harvey!), then got into blues in a big way, thinking that no other music style mattered to me, so that really stuck with me. In the late 80s & 90s, the 'guitar gods' just didn't do it for me ... ie, Satriani, Malmsteen, Vai ... amazing talent, but I just couldn't get that 'gee whiz feeling' from those guys, however I respect them very much as musos & great guys in real life. But the 90s glam metal hair bands really DO IT for me ... as I said it's the 'whole package' of the band thing, not just some guy shredding into a hi-gain amp. The good thing about the 80s glam metal bands is that they all helped each other set a new standard of musicality, and whilst there were some similar sounding bands, they were all skilled enough to differentiate from each other to please their listeners. I'm more than happy to switch from Dokken to UFO, or from Ratt to Tesla and not try to make comparisons ... they're all so good. I remember back in 1984 I bought Rick Derringer's "Good Dirty Fun" album and some of the tracks on that one sounded so good that I thought "hey, I don't need to listen to anything else" ... which was silly of me because I didn't explore the glam metal bands of the era, hence I missed out. Never mind, I'm still around in my late 50s now and just getting into it ... listening to glam metal makes me feel 21 again (not joking!). Yes, you're right, the 80s were fun times, and the girls were really hot looking too!

I’m sure most reading this are very familiar with Tom and his Guitar prowess, but the general populace doesn’t appreciate just how good of an all-around master of music he was/is. His Songwriting, Vocals, Musical Composition, and incredible Lead Guitarist abilities are in a league of their own. I’ve had the pleasure of turning many people on to this amazing artist. Jeff LaBar (rip) was a great showman and guitarist, but Tom’s leads were on another level early in Cinderella’s successful run. His song writing was also amazing. I especially love the way he wrote a Prelude to AC-DCs “You Shook Me All Night Long” via “Shake Me”…very clever. There’s so much I could say about Tom, but I just have to sum it up be saying I have the utmost respect and love of his creations, abilities, and career.

My very first exposure to Cinderella got me HOOKED for LIFE It was around 1990, I was 19 years old, already a huge 80s “hair-metal” fan, but somehow missed being exposed to Cinderella until one night, at a friend’s home, while PEAKING on some really clean LSD, he pops in a (store-bought, not home-made) VHS concert tour video on a small television on a carpeted floor in a very small living room and says... “watch THIS!” HHHOOOOLLLLYYY SSSHHHIIITTTT! It was like a TRANSCENDENTAL experience for me that I will NEVER forget!! Forever a fan!! Thank you, Tom & the rest of the band!

I was 15 in 1985 and it was a *GLORIOUS* time to be a metalhead. Cinderella, Motley Crue and all the others going at the time was just killer. My 76 Camaro had an Alpine system in it that was so good. Cranking Gypsy Road in that car on my way to a Dio/Dokken concert are the kinds of memories I have growing up. Ozzy/Accept, Hagar with I Can't Drive 55...Iron Maiden Somewhere on Tour...the list is long and awesome!
