My local private hire companies have a lot of contracts with local councils to take special needs kids to schools far away or for rich kids to get taken to school. One guy has a fifty mile trip each way! It's part of the reason why if you don't book days in advance you aren't going to get a vehicle at rush hour on a weekday.

True story. I was in the Navy, made the stupid mistake of volunteering to go to Iraq, because 'money'. Anyway, At 5 in the morning I called a cab to take me to the airport. We had a quiet discussion about really nothing the whole way, asking neutral questions and such. Turned out the guy was Iraqi. When we pulled into the airport he actually got out and pulled my duffel from the trunk. He saluted me, handed me the bag, and said "go and save my country. I'll be here waiting for you.". I did 6 months in Iraq, re-upped for another 6, but only stayed for another 5 as the reason I was there was complete. By the time I was sent home I was shell shocked as fuck, had completely forgotten the cabby. I pulled out my lovely flip phone and called a cab. I sat down on a bench and cried for about 10 minutes, couldn't believe what I had gone through, and it had just hit me that it was finally over and I was home. I finally get myself together and look up...and there was that cabby, standing on the curb saluting me. He said "thank you from the bottom of my heart, my family is safe because of you. You ride free forever with me." We rode back to base in complete silence. It wasn't until days later that I made the connection they were the same person and realized what happened. I don't know if, when I called the cab company, he KNEW it was me, or if it was just pure serendipity. I never saw the guy again, but man, to this day I still remember him.

Summary: Denzel is great. This movie is not.

When I first started watching Cinemasins, I didn't have a running dialog of critiques in my head. Now I do, now I do.

His character was definately well-off. He owned a beach-front property house (a house he apparently didn't even want to visit all that often). His backstory needs to be explained... 2 films in and still, it doesn't currently make sense why he's such a bad-ass.

My entire problem with Taken was that it had to have something to do with someone being kidnapped and Liam Neeson having to rescue them. I would have rather his character have a code name and the events of the first movie brought him out of secret retirement.

It was flour and that was one of the coolest kills in the movie. Flour is highly explosive in a cloud like that. There was a flour plant that exploded from a small spark and took like half a town with it irl

I watched this movie on a flight to Japan. It wasn't terrible. It was pretty light on content which led to it going on about side stories for over 40 mins, but it was entertaining enough. Harping on the constant reminder of the locations seemed pretty snobby though. Especially when they were referencing Belgium. Guess what? A lot of people would not have been able to guess where they were based on not having no particularly Belgium-y indicators in existence outside of signs. And also, the Washington ones could be missed because not everyone looks out for the monument; sometimes people see all the other things and focus on that.
