Smiley is a real one. Salute. I grew up on Skid Row in Downtown L.a when I was 14. Now I'm 47 and I live in Eastern KY. Sometimes I miss L.A though I'm not gonna lie. With all the shit going on in the country today though I am happy I'm where I'm at and wouldn't trade it for anything. Enjoyed the interview.

As an adult since the 80s the influx of the drugs and mental illness has astounded me. One thing I know is.. it can't be ignored and it can't be explained but the high cost of living is a big part of it. All everyone wants is a space of their own to grow into their shoes and hopefully one meal at the end of a long day of hard work and a birthday party and Christmas once a year ⚡ ✌🏼❤️‍🔥feels like we have been bought and sold

Good stuff, i like talks from oldschool cats, because history repeats itself. People need to listen to this wisdom. I did over 8 yrs and still love this country and want it to be better than it is, because we are in trouble and its only getting worse and worse!!! The conditions in prison are awful still, and worse if your homeless. Our medical system is slowly slipping down the ladder of developed countries, we are not the best anymore, not even close.

GOOD ASS Interview while I was listening to you talk I was sitting there agreeing with you like to myself out loud hoping you would say exactly what I was saying at the moment and I was glad that you spoke up for a lot of us don’t have the platform that you have to see exactly how we feel especially someone like me that’s been to prison and been down a similar path that you have now I’m out in the world doing very good just like you and I don’t understand the shit that’s going on because I was born in the 70s grew up in the 80s and I don’t understand what the hell is going on it’s like I stepped in to and alternate universe it’s crazy to just watch people be OK with this crap that’s going on in society I agreed with your home a solution we need to open up mental institutions again it’s a start and it’s better than the solution they came up with the close them down and let them run around in the streets and get shot and killed and put in prison that doesn’t seem any better then when they had the mental hospitals open for them to at least go in and begin to give them hope and therapy in a direction to point these folks in the grade interview uncle Mitch DO IT HARD💪🏻

Mitch, while you were in prison for the past 38 years, American's strength has diminished because of its weak economy. Its not because of liberal tree-huggers or China. When the typical American worker's expected salary is 5 times that of other countries, then thats when you lose the manufacturing. Profit is the driver of business decisions...its pretty simple and not that confusing. American expectations need to be reduced, but unfortunately the average middle class American wont lower their living standard.

He seems like a real stand up man. Hes right about the homeless situation. The people protesting have no solution but they're quick to come down on the city for moving them. The bottom line is they cant create these camps wherever they want. It's sad but it is the way it is. Like he said, let the pee and poop in your backyard so your kids can play in it. I wish this man nothing but peace and happiness and I hope some folks can learn from his experiences.
