Mitch Smiley was born in San Jose, Ca and grew up in El Cajon, CA. He loved motorcycles from a young age. As a young adult, he started hanging out with the wrong crowd, got into trouble, spent time in juvenile hall and youth authority. In 1979, he got caught a case in a bar fight which resulted in a 15 to life sentence for 2nd degree murder and he did 38 years straight in the California Prison systems. After living his entire adult life in prison, he was released in 2017 at the age of 56. The first thing he bought was a 2004 Dyna Low Rider. He now ride a 2022 Indian Super Chief. Motorcycles are his passion, always have been and always will be.
While in prison, he learned how to tattoo and to do art. He had dreams of starting his own T-shirt line, he drew the patterns while on the inside and he started his T-shirt company, Hard Intentions. 2 years ago, he got a shout out from Jessie James from West Coast Choppers on Instagram and his shirt business launched. He also was encouraged to talk about his life in prison and started a KZfaq channel by the same name. He is currently residing in Northern California in the mountains.
