Welcome back to our United States Virgin Islands Series! We have spent the last week exploring St. Thomas and St. John.
In this video, we explore Cinnamon Bay on St. John. We arrive at the beach early and have the whole place to ourselves before the crowds arrive, and then decide to check out the Cinnamon Bay plantation ruins. Then we head to Annaberg for some of the best-preserved sugar mill ruins on St. John.

Jeep, Jeep, Jeep, Jeep, Jeep...Hippy.. lol!😆 That sunset time-lapse with the boats moving around was really nice!👍(along with the lovely lady on the beach in the animal print suit! 😉) Still dealing with the aftermath of 2 rounds of severe snow/ice storms here in Western KY, so really wishing for some scenery like you guys are getting!

Ahh hope you didn't have too much trouble with that storm, it sounded pretty bad! We live in California so we couldn't even handle that kind of weather

We have Verizon and our phones worked the whole time. We used Google Maps a lot. The only issue that we ran into was on the northern side of St. John, where we occasionally picked up signal from the british virgin islands, and were charged for international roaming

We rented the pickup from Sixt at the St. Thomas airport. We took the car ferry over to St. John from there

Now the song "Cinnamon Girl" by Neil Young is in my head. "Jeeeeeeeeeeeep jeep jeep jeep jeep jeep jeep." - The animals near that parking lot Will never forget on our honeymoon, we went to the plantations in Charleston, SC...and were heartened that they truly acknowledged the horrifying life of slave labor on those plantations. But not everyone was on board with honesty of the horrors of slavery. Some street vendors were selling pro-racist, pro-slavery figurines. It was sickening. Still a lot of work to do in fighting racism. FANTASTIC sunset.

Great videos! We are heading to St John next month and we are worried about the bugs (sand flies), they are tiny demons incarnate. What do you recommend we use to keep them off our bodies.

We visited in the Winter and did not have any issue with them, not sure what it is like in the summer with flies
