This is one of my favorite RTS games. I played the 1st a lot, and Rivals makes the strategy more complex with support units and more buildings. I haven't played multiplayer because I'm afraid of getting my ass kicked by a meta strategy. Single play is fun enough by itself though.

clean the walls where there is no passage. the walls give quite a good amount of wood

you didnt clear walls, you dont use hotkeys.. of course its hard
