I agree think there are a lot of animals that teaching tricks to and performing is okay (if their needs are being met obviously) and can provide enrchment. but a circus enviroment s just terrible for most animals the noise and the lights,its so sad how people ever thought this was okay

Exatamente! Poderiam estar livres em seu habitat natural mas tem que ser ridicularizados dessa forma, muito triste mesmo. Espero que um dia o mundo se conscientize de que isso é um castigo imenso para esses animais ter que viver em um lugar totalmente diferente do seu habitat e ainda ter que trabalhar, e muitas das vezes serem maltratados.

@@josianibottomielnik4735 Estos animales, como aquí en el vídeo, están perfectamente cuidados. Trabajé como entrenador de animales en un circo durante casi 9 años y nunca torturé a mis animales, a pesar de que trabajé con cebras, camellos, avestruces, ponis y búfalos.

To be truthful, whenever I attended a circus with animals in it, I didn’t mind them being used for show biz, but it was only as long as on the condition they were never abused and always well cared for. I now realise that animals are not getting the proper respect they so richly deserve. When the animals were whipped or jumped through burning hoops, I cringed and thought they should use something softer, like a rubber whip or something like that. In Madagascar 3, Vitaly the Tiger poured hair conditioner over himself and he jumped though a hoop unharmed. I thought that should work more often in real life. I also watched a short movie about a circus bear who was born in the circus and grew up in the circus and therefore was the star of the circus. Although he loved performing and all the audiences’ applause, the owners of the circus treated him rather shabbily and he yearned for freedom. His wish came true much later after the beginning. This goes to show that deep down animals do love performing at circuses but just can’t take too much abuse.

I'll maybe do some errors while writting because english isn't my first language. Ok, i don't think animals should be in places like this. I really love animals. I would absolutely love seeing a lion or an elephant. But not there. Yes seeing them doing tricks is funny...but at what price? i'd rather see them in the wild. An elephant family walking calmly, in the sunlight of morning near water. Rolling in dirt to take a shower. A lioness chasing with her daughter, hiding in the grass to attack her diner. Seeing her powerful and strategic moves to get it. A lion taking a nap under the sun on a hot rock. His giant mouth with impressive theet wide open while he yawn. A giraffe reaching a leaf on a tree and her daughter trying to learn from her mom. A tiger swimming in a river, green leaves and colorfull flowers every where around him. I think THAT is wonderfull. They are powerful, wild, kind, strategic, intelligent. Using these abilities to make people laugh and make money out of it is called exploitation. Because you take these abilities as far as you can (like jumping in a circle of fire). Animals were there before us. They were great and good WITHOUT us. They don't need us. They use their abilities often in the wild but not in an excessive way like in the circus. You have intelligence, right? Circus for animal, it's for you like i was asking "find the formula of space-time not using the internet". I did advanced mathematics, i did advanced physique and science and a little bit astronomie. But THIS is too much asking me. I would be a able to find the formula at some point. Maybe after two or three lives trying to solve this problem. But I would turn crazy, if i could only work on that, every day of my life, i would be tired. I would asking myself "what's the point of living like that?". I'm sure you would turn out crazy too or bored. Asking an elephant to climb on something, to hold something during a long time, to learn trick all is life. It's exactly the same thing as the formula of space time you're trying to solve all your life. It's boring, it's not natural, you need to do something else of your life than that! You can't have a family, you can't work on something else, you can't discover what you really love, you'll never be able to see New York,Japan, Paris, Bali. Like these animals can't have a family, they can't run free, tey will never see the jungle or africa. I'm sure you want to have a great life, to see great things and do great things. You love doing what you appreciate. I love reading and if you take away books from me, i would probably cry. If you want a great life and can have it? Why couldn't they have a great life? Doing something else than learning tricks all their life.

1:02 the holding the tail is wrong...a kangaroos tail is it's balance, you can see its slightly leaning toward and moving quicker, as when the tail is not held it's moving comfortably, also wheres it's group?? Unnatural. I don't know much about the others, but you can tell none of the animals get the required space to live peacefully.

You cannot get an ostrich or giraffe to comply by force. These are apparently examples of lifelong loving attention and training by positive reinforcement. Actually very remarkable. (There aRe bad people too, that do mistreat animals and each other, and the best place for wild animals is in the wild...but never been wild, born in captivity, is a unique category and will be a necessary component of preserving these animals if we continue to diminish their natural habitats)

I went to a circus and watched baboons prefoming . One poor baboon made a mistake and got the WHIP ACROSS ITS FACE ! This woman and I booed at the cruelty of it and yelled at the man handling the poor creatures . Give me human acrobats anyday .

This red kangaroo has a skin condition. Missing all the hair on his infected red chest. This ringmaster doesn't give a shit about his animals. Pulling a kangaroos tail. Giving one bison significantly less food. Throwing the giraffes leg around. He has no empathy and it makes me really uncomfortable to think what goes on behind the scenes.

this is honestly infuriating and horrible. no one should be tortured and hurt for someone elses satisfaction and entertainment of watching. The animals look so scared and stressed, this is not teaching children about animals, this teaches nothing and does only harm. Animals spend time in cages after, locked in and scared, do people really want to spend money on animak torture?

I understand the mistreatment if animals in circuses and I don’t agree with it...and I’m not saying in this video bc I can see the mistreatment, however, with the little knowledge I have about animals I can tell if it’s been mistreated or not...look at its feathers, its actions, responses, the gleam and shine in their feathers or coats, weather their eyes are constantly on the master or not, I watched one a minute ago with lions and tigers...only one person was in the cage with them, he did have a whip but only used it to point, the cats body language was calm, when the cats disobeyed, the man used his hands and body to correct the cat, the cats even stopped to rub their faces on him and even licked him time to time, coats were shiny, animals looked full, no collars, no restraints besides the main cage, and after every couple of tricks they were treated. And the tricks were thing the cats do for survival in the wild anyways, he was showing their balance skills, jumping skills, nothing drastic for the animal. Also the man mentioned how HIS FAMILY owned the cats and that they’ve had over 50 generations of the animals. So looking at the cats actions and hearing that, I knew the animals were safe. The cats grandparents had to trust the family, which taught the next generation to trust the family and the next and the next, so on so forth. My point is is that there are ways you can tell so before your quick to judge a circus on its animals, look at the man handling them, they are the ones responsible, not the circus itself. On my observations, this circus isn’t good, the way they chased the animals out, more than one person handling them, collars, none of which are good. So I’m not sticking up for this one, but just don’t be quick to judge, look at the circumstances and everything else. Thank you

The kangaroo had a rash on its chest, the way it moved whenever the man touched it, you can also see bruises and scars, then the bisons, they’re lazy creatures, they typically don’t run unless there’s a predator in this case the man and his whip, also the way the bison ate the food made them look starved, next, the giraffe, you can also see scaring on this animal too by looking at its spots, and you can tell it’s only following the man around for food. None of the animals coats really looked healthy. Probably the most properly handled animal was the ostriches. Besides the fact that they were chased out, they acted normally, maybe scared and confused bc of all the people, however they weren’t messed with much

HA HA HAH. I'm 77 years old. I was at a 3 rang circus back in 19 and 57 in Kankakee, IL. The middle rang had a Clown being pulled in circles on his stomach while holding a rope attached to a horse's saddle horn. The right rang had a Lion tamer in it with 5-6 lions. Well, that Clown looked like a worm on a hook to the biggest male Lion. He busted outta the little wire cage they had around that right rang and pounced on the Clown like a Shark to Chum. HO HO. I'm 77 years old and will NEVER get that image outta my rotting mind. HA HA HAH.
