Well spotted! Yes we had a malfunction on the thrust reversers (T/R), which was rectified immediately after the flight. The T/R's are - as you can imagine - very well protected against an inadvertently deployment in flight. A lot of safety features are built in. The T/R's did not deploy in time, but this is not a problem, because all landing distance numbers are calculated without the use of thrust reverses. Happy Landings, Guido

I once made that same approach into Smyrna while accompanying a non-instrument pilot to St. Louis. He was not my student but I offered to go along under my ticket just for the fun of it. Weather there was fairly clear but his wife in back would not shut up. I even mentioned "sterile cockpit" and quiet during the approach. Nope. I had to get him to say something to her. On into a snowy St. Louis, visibility was low on that ILS and she was talking again. I love the isolation switch!
