Elizabeth Asantewa was a young school girl, who was given the honour to present a bouquet of flowers to the former president Kwame Nkrumah. Unfortunately for her, there was a bomb, which exploded and injured her.

Its a such a shame that all these years none of the government carried on what Dr Nkrumah had wanted to do for her. I m 50yrs and this is the 1st time I have heard this story. May her last years on earth be enjoyable 🙏

We Ghanaians honours the dead not living. Nkrumah was never allowed to come home after he was overthrown but the the battle for his dead body was a battle between Ghana and Guinea who hosted Nkrumah till death.

I studied History as elective at Secondary, her was in the the books. It happened in 1964 when Nkrumah changed the country to one party state and made himself president for life.

It was a very good.and conversation that we heard with this old Mama. I admired here a lot cause she took every thing easy and patiently. Now let the people of the world and the Government help her while she still alive. Big casket, beautiful flowers and big funeral are unnecessary when an intelligent and beautiful Mama like her could not get help that she needed. It's a blessing that she can talk and see and also what ever she will receive, she will praise the Lord and bless whom ever helps her out of this situation.❤👍📿🙇🙏☧

The late JB Danquah and his party tried various Assassinations attempts on Nkrumah’s life; this poor lady is suffering from the effects of their crimes. Check it for yourself, and ask why JB Danquah was arrested by Nkrumah in 1964 after the plot to kill him.

There are great inconsistencies in the story. That bombing attempt happened in Kulungugu, in Upper East- not Accra. Nkrumah and the big six were never on the same platform after the they spilt and he formed CPP. Millions didn't die, according to the commentary, about 55 were injured, that's all. ...And the sound of the bomb 💣 is funny
