I love that while the instruments are heavy, the voice never becomes obnoxious screaming/ just noise. The singer has a good voice that holds a melody amidst heavy instrumentals. Dunno if I'm making sense 😅 Basically, I am fine with heavy instrumentals, so long as the artist still actually sings 😊

So I played this LOUDLY in my room because I have really big speakers. And so while it was playing, a friend of mine who never really liked Citizen Soldier came in and started bopping his head to this. He asked who was the artist and I gave him the biggest grin on my face and said "Citizen Soldier" Starting from that day, he listened to Citizen Soldier songs non-stop.

This actually reminded me of something in my past, where someone got to abuse my trust. He asked something of me and said that he wouldn't tell anyone and right the next day in school he shouted it out but i could get everyone to not belief him. Still, he used it to blackmail me for months. And not to mention I was only eight back then and didn't know how to help myself while i am now 14. I only told my mother when i finally realised after like 4 months or more that it wasn't alright and damaging me each day more and more. One of my friends back then actually wanted to quit the friendship because I didn't have any time for her. My trust has been abused so much in the past, but my friends that I have now,help me to somehow repair it a bit and I am glad to have them, even though I never told them about this case and I probably never will since it's already a few years in the past and it doesn't weight on me that heavy anymore. Still they listened to me when i told them about another thing. This was the point when it helped to regain atleast some trust in the people around me and to not be so closed up. But to even tell them it took me for one like three years to get to know and trust her and the over one one year and a half i think. Nonetheless, both are really great friends and I trust them even more now. And this song is really good! Another Masterpiece. This song brings back memories of an Ex of mine. We had a five year relationship and were even engaged. Towards the end of that time period, I found out that she had been cheating on me with four different guys over the span of two years. It affected me to the point where in any relationship that had afterward, I was constantly thinking that the person I was with was cheating on me. Now though, I'm married to an amazing woman who has taught me to trust again.

She was like a sister to me 20 years.... lied to me, knew what I went through and was going through still turned on me... no boundaries for others and lacked the respect aswell.... I still remember what she said to me... *I should of listened to my gut about you * I am still torn up about it even though it's been about 3 yrs since we 100% stopped talking and having anything todo with each other. This song goes to her. In reality I should of followed my gut that faithful day in middle school to not become friends with her. Lesson learned again.... I HOPE IT HAUNTS YOU!

This song nearly brought me to tears. I'm still working through the effects of my previous relationship, and the abuse that she put me through will probably haunt me for years. She was hurting me so much that it physically made me sick, to the point where I felt just as tired as the previous night after getting over 8 hours of sleep. I was constantly nauseated, stressed and unhappy. I know she hasn't lost any sleep over it and refuses to recognize what she did to me. I know it has left a still-bleeding scar much deeper than I have ever had before, after I had given her everything I had. Thankfully my current partner is nothing but understanding of what I've been through, and that the damage that was done will take time to heal. I felt this song deep in my soul, and I can understand the feeling behind it. Thank you for your music, for your time and dedication to making your songs that have so much meaning behind them. You guys truly help me feel less alone in the world, and as sad as it is, I'm sure there's a lot more people you help with your music then just me.

To the woman who got me to trust her and got MANY second chances over our relationship. She got me attached and showed up at my doorstep Christmas day announcing to my family she was pregnant. Told me i was the father. She ended up Sleeping with my best friend behind my back and admitted she lied to me about the baby. Walked into the Supermarket drunk as hell WHILE pregnant with the baby while two other guys were with her. When the baby was born she started doing drugs again and would start running around with random guys she eventually lost custody of the child for drug use. spread rumors online about me, causing most of my friends to hate me. Eventually making me have to stray from the one game i actually played for an escape of all the shit that happened. i Built a wall of trust for her around my heart and she tore it down like it was nothing. Showed me that it was foolish to trust. Every day i think about whether or not i was the one mistaken, if anything i did led to those things happening, i was losing sleep. while she's living her life Full of drug use.before it was rare for me to even sleep. now i can sleep but Its still rare for me to get a good sleep ever since then. Everyone just tells me to "move on. Forget about what happened." Its not that easy to just. "Move on". Each experience of stuff like that i different,making the "Moving on" process different for everyone. For some people it can happen as fast as a day or a week. some a few months. Some people it may take Years. Sad to say it but i think its gonna be a few years before i can get over how badly i was fucked over. because right now its been over 6 months. and it still haunts me to this day of all the shit i fell for. Out of all that shit i lost a couple good friends. Gained a few good ones too from the times i vented. My best friend and my brother stayed by my side through it all. Though i was just too blind to see that they were looking out for me. If either of you read this. I'm sorry for my ignorance. this is the part of the lyrics that hit me the most deep. Not in a bad way though. just a reminder that next time i won't be so blind and fall for it so easily. and i'll listen to my family if they warn me about anything.

I have borderline personality disorder, I recently went back to treatment and recounted the nightmares I had in addition to other experiences. The psychiatrist concluded that I may have been a victim of abuse at a very young age. And partly I was, of what I remember at least is when I was older. The song gets to me, but now I'm treating the anxiety.
