A short walk around the 2007 Berlingo mini camper van.
It has a small kitchen, a detachable table which can also be used outside, a food cooler, enough storage room for two persons and off course a nice bed.
Is a Citroen Berlingo good for a minicamper conversion?
A Citroen Berlingo is similar to a Peugeot Partner. It will give you enough room to convert the car to a
minicamper. A Citroen Berlingo is a good van to convert to a minicamper for two persons.
Is a minicamper big enough for two persons? We have made our van to fit 2 persons.
The bed is 190cm by 120cm and is big enough for roadtrips.
It would help us out so much if you subscribed! We are currently living in a van full time and subscribing keeps our wheels on the road!

Nice build, the only problem is, that there is no chance for taller people like me to sit upright in a berlingo van. I am 189cm and crouched even with seats only 30cm in height. So the next van will be a volkswagen bully, wich has 20cm more space. So I can sit on a normal 40cm seat barely touching my hair at the roof top.

You are damn right! For me being 183 i was locked in when sitting and also when in bed. The van we are living in fulltime right now is a L3H2 Peugeot Boxer and doesn't have that problem ;-)

Hi Wouter, klopt! Die bakken zijn zelf gemaakt. Eigenlijk is heel de camper unit zelf gemaakt ;-) we hebben nog een beter filmpje van de minicamper. Staat ook op ons kanaal! Succes met bouwen!

The curtains are hold up by a steel spring covered with plastic. I don't know how they're called but it's an oldschool system used in caravans back in the days. These are mounted by screws with a O at the end. Really easy! If I'm correct you can see the curtains way better in another video about this van. We'll be going much more into detail in that one. Hi Dillon thanks! In the Netherlands it's super easy.. there is no difference at all because its legal to convert it from a normal van to a minicamper. Also there is nothing changed in the registration so the insurance is also a regular one. Hope it helps.

We have made the curtain rails with a metal-wire-spring-thingy covered in plastic. They used it back in the days for curtains and in caravans. It's super easy and dirt cheap!

Thnx! It's fairly easy. I've put metal/rubber wires around the windows. Here you can run your curtains through. Goodluck!

I did a similar conversion ...I'm 50 + years old the van is way to small. you will get the length to sleep no problem...but for two people I'd give them a massive swerve . If I there of you need the toilet it's a real challenge getting out the van because you can't go in the van in the middle of the night . That means you have to park were there are toilets or take a toilet tent ...witch seems pointless to me you might as well just by a tent and save your self a lot of money..

Yup, thats true. But we are both in our late 20's so fitting two people in is not a issue at all right now. The toilet issue is also not a thing at the moment, because we are into wildcamping. The toilet is everywhere as long as you take biodegradable paper. Hallo ik heb nog een vraag. Hoe hou je de warmte uit uw wagen het kan soms heel warm worden in de wagen hoe kunnen jullie dan goed slapen in die warmte. Ik ben dan ook een slechte slaper bij mij moet de temperatuur dan ook goed zijn. Groeten Rudy

In the bushes, at campsites, at McDonald's, at shopping centres, public restrooms you name it! Never had an issue, but right now we are living in a bigger van fulltime. This one has a toilet and a shower!

Hi! The Berlingo is awesome! I am around 1,83/1,85 you can also buy chairs that can fold further down if you need more space. Also we have made better video than this one. It's also on our channel!

Im 183 and was able to fully stretch. So around 185. Also we have made a more in depth video about this van. Also on our channel. This is when everything was finished. You will see way more details and some changes compared to this video!

Good job! I really like it. Is it possible to sleep well if we are to people ando one of us is high person (1,84 cm)? We are looking for citroen Berlingo but we are afraid that it will be short to sleep...
