Ecodriver tries to find out how far you can get electric only in the Citroen C5 Aircross Plug-In Hybrid.
I set my target to 60 kms/37 mls, let's see whether I was too optimistic.

I own the model pre-facelift. It was delivered to me last May. The highest range on electric batteries I've achieved was 70km before the gas engine kicked in. Usually I get around 50 km of range (sometimes 48, other times 53). In a not so hilly course I think it is fairly easy to get around 60 kms of electric range (and rather often I surpass that mark). At highway speeds the gas engine is not so frugal but it is very reasonable if we consider the dimensions and aerodynamics of the car.

hello, good video. maybe in the description at the bottom you can also show the battery capacity. And displaying the overall consumption in kWh may also. I calculated for this Aircross: 11 to 12 Kwh net battery gives for the tested 60 km range 18.3 kWh to 20 kWh consumption. Which are nice figures. The display in the Aircross does not seem to show this electric consumption?

Hi, thanks for the video. Did you used any electric systems while doing the test? For example, radio, AC, charging phone,... Thanks

Could you please tell me after one year how much autonomy still has the car in electric mode?

Why did you use the Electric D mode and not the Electric B mode?

The key to driving efficiently is to use momentum and keep the car coasting. Not braking, if possible. Yes, Hybrids (and EVs) recuperate some energy, but never enough to make up for what was or will be used to build enough momentum to be able to recuperate. In B it's more effort to have the car coasting (you need to keep the foot on the accelerator pedal all the time and find the point of no regen). I'v done a couple of videos about this topic, e.g. this one kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bpejiJCAvtuUZZ8.html
