City Authority Demolishing Five Roundabouts In Kampala City

Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) has unveiled plans to demolish five roundabouts in Kampala as a means to curb traffic congestion this year.
The five roundabouts, which have been identified as traffic choke points, include Rwenzori Courts roundabout, Grand Imperial, Mulago, Mulago City Mortuary, and Mulago Ku Bbiri.
According to KCCA Spokesperson Simon Peter Kasyate, one of the most menacing challenges in Kampala City is traffic congestion into, within, and out of the city’s central business district, which has not only led to reduced productivity among the city’s workforce and business owners but has also led to an increase in travel affairs, road maintenance costs, as well as an increase in air pollution.

The most prefered thing is to creat underpasses or over passes to reduce traffic vehicles will just flow up and down with out stop especially in areas which are busy with around about so

The only thing that’s going to control traffic is building foot paths to make it easier for more people to walk. The less people in cars, the less traffic

Those siginals wont reduce teaffic only under passes , fly overs or over passes can bcz most people dont respect those traffic lights especially motor cycles yet with fly overs every one just keep moving with out stopping just look at areas like wandegeya and others still traffi c is there yet kampala fly over atleast u see every one keeps moving

Major round abouts needs to turned in over passes or under passes to reduce traffic , round abouts also play abig part in increasing traffic in big cities and developing cities but with flyover or over passes vehicles will pass up or down with out stop

What kind of Mayor runs Kampala city? Mayors across the world are responsible for developing systems to keep the city clean. Even the Mayor of Entebbe Municipality is a better Manager.

They should not forget pedestrian bridges especially near traffic lights junctions and in some roads to get widen they should remove those flowers in the middle bcz they take a bigger portion or part in the middle atleast they widen pedestrian with those flowers in the middle of roads
