The fact that they could infuse music from different cultures and genres made them truly unique and so very successful. Robert continues to do it to this day.

U know, for some people Arabs are all arabs...in fact it's not Page/Plant it is Jagger and Mc Cartney...
@AtlanteanX4 жыл бұрын
@@aitahmedlahcen Moroccans are not Arabs, they are Berbers.
@aitahmedlahcen4 жыл бұрын
@@AtlanteanX the "legend" says that first people to live in Morroco were Berbers. In fact there were other people before. And Morroco was not named Morroco at that time. Whatever actually there are Arabs and Berbers (north, south, center) in Morroco. All of them are Morrocan. Whatever my point was to notice that for some occidental people : A person living beetween Iran and Morroc is an Arab and Muslim. IN fact there are many religions and ethnies.

Yes, It's true....The album "No Quarter" (on which was featured this track), indeed was recorded in Morocco. & Wales, (In Snowdonia).&..In London.. Principal backing music was provided by The Egyptian Ensemble led by Hossam Ramzy, the London Metropolitan Orchestra and for the Marrakech recordings: Brahim El Balkani, Hassan El Arfaoui, El Mahjoub El Mathoun & Abdelhak Eddahmane......OK.......Everybody happy now? (p.s.The last track is called Kashmir.....Nowhere near Morocco or Egypt.)
@mctripstac52594 жыл бұрын
patagualian. And fun fact, the LED Zep Keyboardist, John Paul Jones if I recall, who created those insanely hauntingly beautiful notes on the original No Quarter song, was unimpressed that Page and Plant named the album No Quarter, and didn’t invite him to be a part of it. Peace.

it's called el hajhooj or senteer. made of a wooden hollow box covered in the front with a hide, like sheep's, and a thick round neck that has no fretboards. i think it has three strings. this instrument is the ancestor of the bass and counter bass. and that music style, called gnawa is from which black music like jazz, and blues stemmed.
