Another KZfaqr called it a rock n roll magic carpet ride. It really is a journey through the Moroccan desert (according to Robert Plant). He said he was inspired by a long road in the desert of Morocco on his trip, a road they drove down which never seemed to end. The beauty and power of this song give me goosebumps.

@@Lumalnatti11 you must must stop in Amman, Jordan and visit Petra. It is one of the worlds seven wonders. You can ride through it on horseback. An entire city carved from stone. And maybe you can play this in your headphones there. 😊

I seriously envy the people who were able to experience Led Zeppelin in person. Even more so the ones who saw the original line up of the four gods of rock together! It’s truly amazing to me that each member of the band was considered the greatest of all time at their particular skill. Usually, it’s one (or maybe two) members that people generally consider as the GOAT. But with Led Zeppelin, all four are arguably the GOAT individually. That’s insane! Surely,, it was destiny.
@josefbruckner71549 ай бұрын
Sorry, the only good part is the Egyptian violinist. Plant's singing is extremely dull. Of course the whole song is mainly ponderous and missing any inspiration - a failed attempt. 💀Obviously there is the negative repercussion of consuming drugs. 👹

Oh, let the sun beat down upon my face And stars fill my dream I'm a traveler of both time and space To be where I have been To sit with elders of the gentle race This world has seldom seen They talk of days for which they sit and wait All will be revealed Talk in song from tongues of lilting grace Sounds caress my ear And not a word I heard could I relate The story was quite clear Oh, baby, I been blind Oh, yeah, mama, there ain't no denyin' Oh, ooh yes, I been blind Mama, mama, ain't no denyin', no denyin' All I see turns to brown As the sun burns the ground And my eyes fill with sand As I scan this wasted land Try to find, try to find the way I feel Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace Like sorts inside a dream Leave the path that led me to that place Yellow desert stream My shangri la beneath the summer moon I will return again As the dust that floats high in June We're moving through Kashmir Oh, father of the four winds fill my sails Cross the sea of years With no provision but an open face Along the straits of fear Oh, when I want, when I'm on my way, yeah And my feet wear my fickle way to stay Ooh, yeah yeah, oh, yeah yeah, But I'm down oh, yeah yeah, oh, yeah Yeah, but I'm down, so down Ooh, my baby, oh, my baby Let me take you there Come on, oh let me take you there Let me take you there

Poetry in song. Imagine creating something like this ever in your lifetime, let alone in your early -to-mid twenties. I mean, how do you have that kind of “worldly” vision? When I listen to this song and really listen to the lyrics, this question still baffles me. It’s as if someone late in life who travelled the globe (or at least that part of the world) and studied different cultures their whole life wrote this. Not someone who has only been on this Earth for two decades. This is pure mind-blowing talent. 🤯

Jimmy and Robert at their Late Peak here. Saw the SoFla stop of this tour and it was Fantabulous!!! Symphony and Backing Band truly highlighted this performance 😊

Who fucking said that Justin Bieber needed to be playing? I'm a bigger Zeppelin purist than you ever have been and this STANK. Michael Lee was playing like he was submerged in quicksand. Robert was overdoing his Egyptian bull shit. Not everyone has to like what you like.

Kevin Kiso I love it and being a purest limits yourself really..as for Egyptian bullshit, thats where the style of music originates along with Morocco and other places..what was he going to sing? Blues from Memphis?

I was there, not actually in the bowl, but above it, sat in a van staring at my hand on very strong acid. I can still feel those riffs now.
