Different art styles require different art. However, as much as I like Civ VI over V I love W. Morgan Sheppard's narration.

@@therexbellator Civ 6 functionally has better gameplay, but I miss the old aesthetic of Civ 5. The artstyle and narration mesh so brilliantly.

@@kaijuslayer3334 Eh, Civ V had a nice aesthetic sure but VI also has a nice aesthetic too, even if you don't like the leaders the environmental effects are beautiful. If you don't like the stylistic look of VI, i.e., the "cartoony" look of the leaders, all I can tell you is that this is not new to the series. Civ V is the only game in the series with its look. Going back to Civ I you had the games all have silly or light-hearted elements, like citizens on parade, Classical Era "Newspapers" announcing a change in government, Elvises for entertainers. Civ II did the same thing. Civ III had funny-looking cartoony leaders and so did Civ IV. These were not graphical limitations either, these were deliberate design choices because the developers, particularly Sid Meier, did not see them as particularly 'realistic' games.
