*Stop the Summer vacation holidays for courts, it was for Britishers, as they used to sail back to UK as they could not bear Indian summer, now India is a free country and the judges are not British, Indian judges can bear Indian Summer, already their are tons of pending cases*

Time has zero value in Indian courts. More than 50% time of judges goes in giving dates. Every court grants adjournment after adjournment. They are worse than bureaucracy. They are not at all accountable to delays.

The NRC BIOMETRIC case is ongoing in the Supreme Court for several years, and in 2023, the hearing dates were repeatedly postponed. It is expected to continue for about 5/6 years. In that case, I assume it will take another 10 years for us to obtain our Aadhaar. To achieve this, we need a responsive government, as our age is increasing day by day. Today, due to the lack of Aadhaar, we cannot recover what we have lost. Who will be responsible for this injustice?

I read some recent comments by the current CJI on a current affairs matters with a small bit of disquiet. The CJI is supposed to be a model of rectitude and is expected to be above all politics - purer than Ceaser's wife, if you will. Even the appearance of partisanship can besmirch the high office that the CJI holds, whether he is actually partisan or not. The recent comments by the CJI, however, seem to reflect his personal views to some extent (in the matter of Shiv Sena, Uddhav Thackeray, Eknath Shinde, etc) and came across as a bit political. The field of judicial activism, if ploughed in a prudent manner and at the appropriate time (often thru suo moto orders) can be a powerful check on misuse of power whether by the legislative or by the executive. Judicial activism, however, at times crosses a thin (often nebulous) line and becomes judicial overreach - and this is when things become hairy. The recent comments by the CJI appeared to go into judicial overreach territory (at least in my view) - something that the judiciary seems to be indulging in more frequently of late. I hope that the CJI's comments will not find a place in the final order even as as Obiter Dicta (passing remarks) - such 'passing remarks' become binding on lower courts in future judgements, in the absence of any contrary SC ruling. Yes, judges are also human beings with the typical mish-mash of emotions, social outlook, personal biases, and political views within their psyche - just like you and me. But when it comes to their role as judges, they necessarily have to subsume all those underlying emotions, biases and feelings while hearing and ruling on judicial matters in an impartial manner. I also wonder why the SC shied away from giving a judgement on the farmers road blockade of Delhi and storming of the Red Fort - that delicate matter was also political dynamite - though I do understand that judges are also human, after all. A video clip of an advocate expressing his unhappiness at the CJIs conduct, is doing the rounds on Twitter. His comments, though brutally frank, do hold up the mirror of a moral compass to the CJI to some extent To be fair to the CJI, in subsequent hearings in the same case, he has also questioned the other party like a Devil's Advocate - caused by the backlash of his initial comments or otherwise, I really don't know

Shame for a judge who doesn't care about what's going on around him. Twitter is a modern communication tool, staying away from it is staying blind. Not following social media today is not a sign of a responsible person.

I wanted to counter CJI on leave of judges, he is comparing America Singapore with india seriously as a judge he could have compared with equal factors Vacations are waste of time and burden on indian tax payers again He could have compared judge to public ratio? Or No. Of judges to cases? Will CJI be increasing no. Of judges in supremecourt to solve the pending cases? Current time of SC Working time from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm Can he make it from 9:00 am to 6:00 am? The Collegium system seems outdated.. SC has to come out with the solution... Not in favour of the BJP idea but the collegium system is decreasing the quality of the judge and their judgement. Example is CJI Statement today

Just imagine CJI Chandrachud saying he is not influenced by his personal views etc. As I see it, his decisions in sex outside marriage, same sex relations, etc can be seen only as extensions of his personal whims and fancies. And his persistence with appointing a gay advocate with a foreign connection as high court judge is even worse. He is taking the credibility and reliability of the judiciary to yet unfathomed depths.
