This song fills me with some sort of emptiness or sadness I can’t explain it’s a mix of emotions of happy sad relaxed scared confused and just emptiness like something in my life is missing it hurts my head thinking about it but I love this emotion so much

When I heard this it was like I recognized it without ever hearing it. Like it brought all of my emotions to the surface and left the numb behind. It felt like butterflies were carrying me to an alternate universe. As the delicate noises of the piano ring in my head it feels as though I have just won a battle, or rather a war. It smells like a dewy spring on an early morning and it seems to taste like cherries. It feels ever so nostalgic and comforting. It's ethereal and seems like it doesn't belong here on the ground and contained in the boxes we call buildings. It belongs up in the sky with the birds and the clouds with a bundle of cotton candy and the wind gently flowing through the air. It seems like this.. this is perfect.

The weirdest thing happened! I was sleeping while playing this song. I had a dream about me and a guy dancing. But it was like royal so I was a princess and he a prince but we both wore mask because that was the party. I was about to remove the mask and I woke up at 3:59 am. I go back to sleep and I’m in normal clothes and I’m in this long hallway as I feel like I’m being followed. I open a door in front of me and i was pulled back into the dance with the prince. I saw his eyes and hair and then I heard his voice. I felt so happy. And this felt real. I took off his mask but saw nothing. I woke up and I knew that voice but I don’t know where from. I ask my bf to send me a voice message and it was him. My bf was the prince. I was so happy and weirded out. Then the next day when I was looking for royal dresses I saw the exact dress I had on in the dream.

I found this while I was looking for music to relax with my fiancé with. He’s never been a dancer and is clumsy when dancing but this was the only time we fell into pace without him stepping on my toes. It felt right and perfect. He treats me like a prince and he loves me so much. We don’t always see eye to eye (I’m shorter then him too 😖) but he always loves me and cares about me at the end of the day.

a couple years ago i joined a piano discord server despite not being able to play piano... i made a lot of amazing friends, and i can remember sitting in voice calls with them, listening to them play this piece. i've been grounded for a few months now and haven't been able to talk to them or listen to them play, so this brings up a lot of emotions.

I know everyone hears this piece and says it sounds dark and melancholy.. but when I hear this piece, it’s the redemption of time that’s been lost. And remembering who you are. It’s waking up one day, and finally smiling, after so many years of feeling sad. At least, this is what it sounds like to me.

This song, I don't know what it is. It just brings this tense but calm sensation to me. I remember my one crush the one that I loved so much. When we'd hang out together all day, Watch movies together and snuggled. She never knew that I liked her so much, It hurts. We don't talk anymore and I still have this feeling when I see her around school, just wondering if one day we being something.

I went to my grandmothers house and I saw this on her piano I noticed it but I didn't say anything until we were about to leave. When I asked she said she wanted to learn to play it but she had no time. She went on saying that it was her mothers favorite song, that she wants to play it to feel closer to her mother.

Her cheeks burned as they got closer. “Well,” he whispered as they were now centimeters away, “ let’s finish the way we started” with the snap of his fingers that pretty tune came again. That old tune she could never think of, started to reminisce again. It all came back like a flood. She pulled him into her arms and tears streamed down her face. Just as quickly as she pulled him in, he disappeared. Gone. Faded. Left with all the memories and laughter. It was better this way. She wouldn’t be sad now because she didn’t remember him. Right?

This song makes you wistful about a time you never lived, missing people you never met, and crying tears over things that could've happened instead. It conjures the exact same feeling as gazing at a full moon on a desolate beach. With the rain and muffled "in the other room" effects, I imagine I'm having a quiet evening on my balcony and my imaginary husband is in the other room playing, practicing but also knowing I can hear it and enjoy it. We love each other a lot and get along beautifully but both of us get lost in our own worlds and need a lot of solitude at times. I got the grand piano for him on our 5th wedding anniversary bc he played in high school and college but stopped afterward and got a job in finance, and suffered when he lost his creative outlet, not realizing how vital that sense of release had been to his inner peace. Hearing him play makes me happy knowing he has his beautiful special way of pouring out his soul. After he's done I'll come in there and kiss his shoulder, offer some tea and thoughtful conversation.
