@@TheFGC Actually, I don't even think it will be close. So, yes, it will be a unanimous decision going to Shields. I say that because this was the same kind of "hype", brought on by promoters for the Shields vs Hammer match. Hammer was touted as, big, strong, tall, with knockout power. I thought that Shields would suffer her first defeat as a pro and boy oh boy was I wrong. Shields took out Hammer, easily, like it was nothing. While watching the match, it was clear that Hammer was running scared after the 3rd round. Hammer was looking for the one punch knockout and never found it. Claressa is just too fast on her feet. I now have no doubts that shield will destroy Marshal. She is too slow.

@@TheFGC I forgot one thing. Look at Shields record since the Olympics vs Marshalls record since the same Olympics. Mind you, Shields went to two Olympics and won Gold each time. Marshal didn't medal. She failed at the quarter finals and was out of the Olympics each time. Marshal has a "World Championship Silver Medal", not an Olympic medal. Claressa has proven she is the best there is with the record she currently has. I don't believe the hype with Marshal. It's just that, hype = more $$$$$$ for the fighters, managers and promoters and all the rest associated with it.

@@TheFGC If i were a betting man, my answer would be a, hard "no", to that, not being her toughest yet. Here's why! Her toughest fight, IMHO, has come and gone, when she fought Hanna Gabriel. She put Claressa on the ground and tagged her, dazing her a few times, throughout the fight. That was a hell of a hard hitting (from both) fight. Claress strategized on the fly and changed her game plan and started to pick Gabriel apart, wore her down, and started getting any shot she wanted. I don't think it will be with Marshalls, at all, because of how she took down Hammer as well. But, anything is possible in fights like this. It only takes one lucky punch, but Claressa is too damn fast with her defensive moves, and usually stays clear of punches. The thing i see with Marshal, the most, is the lucky one punch knockout, that she usually isn't even looking for, because she is always flailing wild swings, in hopes of connecting (brawling). If you look at all of Marshall's knockouts, they all started with a lucky hard punch. She wasn't looking to pinpoint her shot. She was simply winging many hard shots, hoping to connect and some did, giving her a chance to then, accurately punch where she wanted, (their heads) and take out her opponents, whom were also just throwing a bunch of wild punches. (brawling) It's only when she realizes that she dazed her opponents that she becomes accurate in taking her targeted power shots to the head. Before that, it's always a whaling of many wild hard punches thrown in a flurry that she wasn't looking to accurately connect to, but by chance did. That's just not good enough for someone like Shields, that is always in a defensive posture with extremely fast reflexes to avoid getting hit. When you watch the fight with these two, keep your eye on how Marshal begins to run and cover up A LOT, and lose her confidence by the 3rd round (if there is one) from all the shots to the head from Claressa. Mark my word. Sorry for the long post, but I love boxing and talking about it. lol

@@TheFGC Think?? For me, there is nothing to think about. Savannah has been holding on to that 2012 win. It was a bit controversial but a win is a win. Since then, Clarissa has gone on to become the most decorated female boxer of all time. Savannah fell short in the 2016 worlds and she also fell short and both Olympics. Clarissa took gold in every one of those events. That means she has went up against fighters from all around the globe. As long as she stays laser focused, there isn't a fighter out there that's going to take her out. I am also in her corner because of all the negative social media and people in boxing. They can't knock her for her skills so they knock her for her cockiness and confidence. These same people will turn around and support cocky fighters like Connor McGregor and Tyson Fury. Why is that?

I used to train at a gym in TX with Anne Wolfe - she looks like a female George Foreman and rattles the chains on the heavy bag like one, too. Never seen a woman hit as hard as she did. She'd maul Marshall or Shields.

@@TheFGC I agree. This card is full of bad blood. Not only do we get the long awaited rematch, we also get a highly contested Mayer/Baumgartner fight. It would have been even better if Choi faught either one before this matchup but getting these two are a great co-main. It will be very interesting to see how these two bouts compare to the Taylor/Serrano & Crewz-Dezurn/Cederroos. All in all it's been a great year for women's boxing.

Savanah hasn't fought any lady the caliper of Shields and the only loss Shields had in the amitures they cheated Shields in favor of Havana like they do all American fighters over in Europe. People act as if cheating is forgotten so in reality she never really beat Shields at all.

In order to get to Marshall, Clarissa has to get inside where punch selection favors Savanah. Clarissa will come in and an uppercut is waiting. Let's face it. The truth is Savannah's tenure in the beginning was squandered by Mayweather Promotions who didn't know how to manage many of their fighters including her. She had to get out of that mess. That delayed her quite a bit. Now she came back to UK soil and wrecking shop as one of the most dangerous boxers in that division. The amateurs is just past history. Now we will see how they matured since then.
