He really didn't seem that way though? I don't know why the show decided to start claiming he just wants praise. Maybe he's starting to enjoy the attention a little, but that seems pretty realistic for a kid his age who can do what he can. -He seemed like he was almost panicking at the idea of being seen saving Sarah and Jr. when he called his dad back and said they needed to talk. That doesn't sound like someone who wants praise. -He said the hero sounded pretty badass to him ONCE at school in a way in a moment when people were mocking the hero. To me, that seemed to me to be way more defensive and like he was deflecting during a conversation that was uncomfortable to him. If the show wanted me to think Sarah was justified in complaining to her mother about Jordan 'bragging' at school, then I needed a lot more than just that one scene. If he had been going around to kids and talking about how awesome he thought the hero was and how maybe it was someone they knew etc but he wasn't. -The selfies were not a huge deal. Superman himself has done interviews and been on television. I don't understand the issue they're taking with the world knowing Jordan exists. I'm sorry if you see it differently, but I really don't think this part of the show was executed well.

Jordan is pretty much putting the entirety of Smallville in danger for a little recognition, because as he said, "I just didn't care." Yeah, but when you think about it it's also kinda hypocritical for Clark especially to yell at Jordan about doing his heroics in secret considering how on his very 1st day in Metropolis, Clark immediately revealed himself as Superman to the public and interacted with the kid he saved (just like how Jordan interacted with the people he saved from the tornado). Considering how Jordan's been doing his hero work in secret for the past few months, it's kinda unfair for everyone to hold Jordan to such a high standard considering compared to Clark, Jordan's hid his heroics from the public eye for much longer.

And Clark needs to grow up he’s been using every excuse to keep Jordan sheltered and not a hero to the point we’re he’s gonna loose jordan forever, I don’t think he realizes Jordan can just fly away at superspeed and it’s not like anyone can really stop him, Also Both Clark and Lois need to realize there sons are what 16-17 they are becoming adults they aren’t 10 and they need to start treating them like adults and not be so angry and quick to judge stuff and control there every move, they should of know Jordan has anxiety and self worth issues he’s had them his whole life and pretty much felt like an outsider and now he’s actually getting praise for stuff he’s doing of courses he’s gonna feed on that maybe if he got that attention from home or maybe if Clark and Lois tired encourage him to get more then 1 friend he might actually not try to look for validation in the people he saves, but no they wouldn’t even consider that and they will probably make him apologize again for something that isn’t his fault and then give a BS do better or we could be better to line when they go back to high standers next season.

@@Markus2E5I6 Sam was trying to force him and for stupid reasons. Out of 20 million + young Caucasian males with curly hair, someone is going to figure out that it's him. Highly unlikely. Sam just hates Jordan's hair and used it as an excuse to force it on him. Maybe Jordan loves his hair and he needed to stand his ground. He could have said it better, but he shouldn't let people force him to do anything he doesn't want to. If Clark has a way to hide his identity, then he should teach it to Jordan. He should teach him how to avoid being tracked too. For Jordan to be used as leverage, people would first have to make a connection between the two of them. They would have to know that's his son or find out both of their secret identities. Jordan is impatient yes, but Clark could do a better job at preparing him for dangerous situations instead of just hitting him with lasers to prove a point. He could have handled that lesson so much better. Was Jordan supposed to know that Clark had armed the wall to shoot lasers? Was he supposed to see it and dodge? What was the point of that besides making Jordan feel weak. Jordan's powers have been growing by leaps and bounds and if it continues, he will reach his father's power level despite what Jor-El said 2 seasons ago. It's already been discredited by the simple fact that Jordan has almost all of his powers and has full control over them, and is potentially immune to green Kryptonite. Jor-El was wrong. Clark has been so focused on Lois and her illness, Bruno and Peia, the Gazette, and now Lex that he hasn't made any time for either of the boys or Jordan's training. It seems like Jordan made more progress training with Sam Lane than his own father. Nat is very smart and mature for her age, but she isn't perfect either. She doesn't have emotional issues to contend with. She has more than her father to worry about. She cares about the Kents and now Matteo and she would protect them if she needs to.

@@thescream18 Again it wasn't forced or even an attempt at force. He was trying to persuade him but don't go throwing around words like force when there was no force and it wasn't for stupid reasons. Beyond Jordan seriously needing a haircut it a very recognisable hairstyle especially if you see Jordan everyday just like how Junior figured out the hero is someone from smallville in smallville that hairstyle is in the minority. As well as being a hero means doing the hard things, Jordan couldn't even be bothered to get a haircut. His villains are going to connect the dots between 2 kryptonians especially if ones a teenager. They would guess either Morgan edges son or Kal's. And since he would be seen with superman they'll connect the dots. Superman having a son reveals he does have an identity he keeps from the public thus endangering his family. Just for some selfies. When I said that nat just had her dad to worry about I meant if enemies look at her from an outside perspective she just has JHI as no one would know of her and the Kents relationship as well as Matteo was a very recent addition and his family was the one causing trouble so he was safe. As well as for the fact that Nat actually does keep her identity safe and doesn't get emotional or try to seek validation at the cost of her loved ones safety. As for the training thing. The whole point was that its supposed to be unfair. Jordan once again got cocky and was hit with a stray laser. Cause guess what? This isn't a game. Villains will suckerpunch you and try to kill you. They don't care about being fair. Clark even told him that but Jordan once again got emotional, insulted his father (becoming a recurring pattern with him) then went home crying about it like a baby over training. If he can't handle training whats he going to do with the real thing? Start throwing a tantrum in a middle of a fight. And yes he was supposed to see it and dodge he was supposed to stay alert and not let his guard down.

His marriage was never a secret, nor was it a secret when he and Bizarro Lois had children. Like many celebrities, he simply had a big ego. Bizarro's mental decline likewise had nothing to do with being a public figure. It occurred because he was abusing green Kryptonite to boost his powers, and to cope with his split from his Lois and increasing public demonization by Bizarro Ally and Bizarro Jonathan. Just as X-K bestows powers, but also increases aggression (as shown by Jonathan), Bizarro's sanity deteriorated even as his body visibly mutated from green K abuse. That is the part I am referring to. In the prime earth, there were also the part where Prime Earth Jordan planned to put himself out there saving the building or stopping a tornado and that was also without approval. That part is the similarity I am describing. I was not describing any secret identity part. I am only describing the part where they went out saving the world without any parents' approval. Bizarro Jonathan wanted to do his superhero job independently and so did Prime Earth Jordan. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qtWqhK2YmdCVg6s.html. If you look at the link, there is an argument happening. They argue about saving the world on their own terms. Prime Earth Jordan had the argument like that with his father about saving the world on his own terms before. In case you forgotten, Prime Earth Jordan had experienced arguing about going out on his own to be a superhero and so did Bizarro Jonathan. So read before making judgement. Don't just assume. It reminds me of my fan made character for the Amazon show the boys. The character is known as Jackson Walker also known as The Liberator. He was the real Soldier Boy he fought in WWII with the 101st Airborne Division he even fought in an eagle's nest and he was one of the troops who fought at the Battle of the Bulge and at the Battle of Berlin. The worst thing was his rotten cousin stole the spotlight from him and called himself Soldier Boy. But his superiors knew that Jackson was the real hero but he didn't view himself as a hero he viewed himself as a person who wanted to fight for his country but he also fought out of vengeance because in his background story he was the victim of the Dachau concentration camp because that's where he lost his parents and family and friends at the hands of Frederick Vought and Stormfront the very people that his family once trusted until they betrayed his family and gave him over to the Nazis so they can have a place in the Fatherland. He escaped from Dachau in early 1940 managed to escape through occupied France saved by a British Navy ship and returned who is hometown in Philadelphia we are his uncle got word of his return. In 1942 he got enlisted in the Army after the Japanese destroyed Pearl Harbor and he escaped with vials of compound V on the day he escaped from Dachau. In the spring of 43 he volunteered for compound V with the greatest results he became virtually indestructible and he was the person who killed Frederick in 1974 by 2021 he killed Fredericks wife Stormfront and now he wants vengeance on homelander for killing his son and daughter-in-law and the civilians on flight 37 and he wants to kill homelander because the psychopath violated his granddaughter Rebecca butcher. This isn't somebody who wants to fight for fame anymore he wants to kill people who claim to be superheroes when all they want to do is fight for themselves and fight for very selfish and vile reasons that's why he's going after the remaining members of the seven by exposing them and then killing them. He joined the boys and he wants to help his grandson in-law by giving him compound V so that he can live. And on the day that homelander is dead will be the day when Jackson decides to show himself to the world and finally walks away from that life forever and he also decides to move on. He owes it all to Queen Maeve and the true reason that he wanted to save her it's because she reminded him of his wife.

He resented Clark for not being there for him as a father. He was being bullied had anxiety and emotional issues and he needed his dad around. All he was told was that Clark was away on business and was never told the real reason, so to Jordan it looks like Clark finds work more important than him. The boys should have been told sooner because it directly impacts their lives especially when Jordan develops powers. There are theories that his powers were developing sooner than when they arrived in Smallville, which could very well be the case. No one wants to be lied to for their entire lives. Even Jon was angry about being lied to. Are you forgetting that? Clark and Lois promised to be transparent and not lie to them anymore, but are still keeping them in the dark about what they're up to, even about how sick Lois is. How do you trust someone when they constantly lie to you. There are times when the boys have not told their parents the truth, but they're learning by their parents example. Jordan wants to belong and to fit in with other kids his age. He said so himself in episode 6 of season 1. He thought that the powers would bring him closer to people. He wasn't able to do that before. You're also forgetting that Jon did the same thing but with super drugs. And he also got the whole football season cancelled. You can't say that Jordan did that. He had the decency to bow out when his powers got too strong. He's not out there blurting that he has powers, is related to superman, or is masquerading as the Smallville Samaritan. He's not exposing the family secret to the whole world. I don't know why people are so intent on believing that he's only doing it for fame and glory when he has shown so much heart and compassion since he started saving people in season 2. He never asked for thanks once, but when he acts out one time, you call his character the worst.

I'm sorry to say so, but everyone's especially Clark's feelings about Jordan going public as Superboy is kinda unfairly too judgmental considering how when Clark first started out as Superman, on his 1st day in Metropolis before he even found a place to live, Clark immediately revealed himself to the world as Superman. Like Lois pointed out in how Jordan could've easily flown away after stopping the tornado, so could've Clark after saving the kid from a falling car, but Clark allowed himself to be seen instead of easily speeding away from the scene and interacted with the kid he saved just like Jordan did. It kinda feels a little hypocritical for Clark to be so mad at Jordan for doing exactly what he did on his very first day and at the very least Jordan waited months before revealing himself as Superboy when Clark revealed himself as Superman on his very first day in Metropolis. It's unfair and I think they could do a better and more gentle approach in understanding Jordan's perspective and getting Jordan to see their perspectives. Well, the statement isn’t wrong I would say the main difference between these two is that one, Clark was way more careful than Jordan where while he was doing stuff when he was around the boy’s age he was low key enough that the ENTIRE town just chalked it up to some weird shit happening. Another difference is that when he went public as superman, it was after a young man’s lifetime of figuring out to use his powers with intermediate control, on top of almost a decade of formal training from Jor-El. I agree with Lois and Clark on this one because they’re not saying he can’t ever go public, they’re just saying she has to be very careful about doing so, which this entire season he hasn’t. Not to mention the elephant in the room that I don’t think anyone has addressed yet, he might not be completely doing this for the most noble of reasons; at least not anymore. Almost every time he’s saved someone in the latter half of the season he’s complained that he’s not getting any type of recognition from anyone. I mean let’s face it, Even though Jordan is his son, He’s not the altruistic icon that is Clark Kent. At least not yet. I’m not saying he’s horrible by any means but the writers are writing him as very immature, because that’s what he factually is; an immature kid who is still growing and learning. And I think that’s their main worry, he’s just rushing in not REALLY thinking of the consequences and how they can affect the family. I mean look at what happened with the fire department. Honestly speaking Kyle is the dumbest character on the show, he should not have figured out by any means that anyone from the Kent family was super if it wasn’t for Jordan

@@alexalonzo8965 - Is Clark *really* that humble though? He seems to LOVE appearing in public as Superman, especially when he's just done something awesome like stopping Ally from merging the worlds. There was NO reason for him to land on Main Street, Smallville, just to bask in the adoration of the people he just saved. Even though he really shouldn't be letting people he's known his whole life get a good look at his face! This is what Clark is missing. His alleged "humility" is phony. He's *enjoyed* being public since his first rescue and his first TV interview with Lois. If he were honest (he isn't) then his costume would hide his face and he wouldn't allow himself to be captured in photos or videos. Clark is the kind of hypocritical parent who pulls the "do as I say, not as a do" stunt. He's not actually setting a good example as a role model for Jordan, and he's blaming Jordan rather than himself for that.

@@daniels7907exactly Clark if anything Jordan hides his identity better because he hides 90% of his face, it seem at this point Clark is just using any excuse to keep Jordan sheltered and home because he never liked the idea of Jordan going out and never gave good reason why it was always something stupid, and even more so Clark never hid his identity after leaving the fortress he did live interviews and hung out in the crowed a lot and still does, someone should really show clark all those moments so he sees how Jordan isn’t the one in the wrong here

This is when you realize that Lois and Clark shouldn't be parents. Public exposure was inevitable and they could have prepared him for it. And Clark saying he didn't need help when he clearly didn't, is so ridiculous to me. They don't want Jordan to be a superhero but they let you delude yourself believing that he could be. Pure hypocrisy.

Then you think just like an irresponsible teenager instead of an adult with responsibilities. Another person bashing Superman and calling him a hypocrite for trying to tell Jordan he needs to keep a low profile. Jordan is an immature teenager who is only doing "hero" business for fame. Everyone can see that. Public exposure is inevitable but how you handle it is what matters. Jordan just wants to bask in it and pump himself up. Jordan has no room for argument. If he did the heroic act and disappeared after, his parents wouldn't be coming down on him. True greatness does not need to prove itself.

Jordan should blow Clark's secret identity because it isn't doing jack to protect their family from the supervillains that keep showing up at the house. Clark not only parades around Smallville with his face totally uncovered, but he spends so much time there that it's idiotic of the writers to pretend that his secret would survive a single encounter with facial recognition tech. At least Jordan was wearing a hood and goggles, which is more than can be said about Superman when he's standing right next to people he literally grew up with!

@daniels7907
@daniels7907 11 ай бұрын
@@Trezzy_beenlit - No. He never had a secret identity there. Bizarro actually bought the Kent farm because he had some kind of transdimensional brainwave and it "felt right", but it wasn't where he grew up. This is why everybody on that Earth knew him as "Kal-El" or "Mr. El". That he turned into an obnoxious celebrity had more to do with not having had a humble upbringing. So he became a publicity seeker. Also, he wasn't the only Kryptonian living openly on Earth (Tal-Rho was well known too). This is what Clark doesn't seem to get. Jordan's Social Anxiety Disorder has always meant that he had no real friends. So of course he's suddenly seeking attention after his only "friend", Sarah, treated him like dirt. It doesn't appear to even dawn on Clark, or Lois, that Jordan is desperate for recognition because he's never really had it. Except for his brief stint at football, which didn't last. Clark and Lois are just so used to lying to everybody they know that it doesn't occur to them how hard this is for Jordan.

I agree with Lois and Clark 50%. I disagree with the fact that he shouldn’t make himself known bc Clark did the same thing when he was Jordan’s age. But I agree with the fact that he’s doing it for the wrong reasons. It’s easy for things to go completely left morally for a hero with that type of mindset. This is a pretty extreme example but, at its core, Homelander has the same type of mentality😂he does it mainly for the admiration/love he gets for doing heroic stuff and being a hero in general. Wouldn’t be surprised if he started out the same as Jordan and then started doing crazy shit in order to maintain his image when things went wrong. So I get Clark’s concern in that regard

You agree with L&C 50%, when they are worried about a potential Homelander situation? I'd like to hear the logic that went into that calculation. Also, Clark was an adult, with a plan and cover identity, in a city far from his hometown when he revealed himself. Jordan is ignoring consequences like... well like a teenager playing around without using protection.

2 very different situations and is practically useless to compare. When Clark went public, he had done years of training at the fortress, there wasn't that much enemies certainly none that held a grudge against him and he didn't have any dependants on him except possibly his mum. Clark now has a whole gallery of villains and a powerless wife and son to think about. Jordan messes up too badly he could reveal his identity which puts Jon in dangerous situations and robs Jon the chance of a normal life. As well as Jordan's recklessness could cost innocent citizens their lives as he is unwilling to go through the proper training programmes as he starts throwing a hissy fit over them. Not to mention the DoD already don't trust Superman and were experimenting with his blood, imagine if they find out human and kryponian dna is compatible and start experimenting on Jordan cause Jordan is much weaker than Clark so could easily be captured. Jordans being a teenager and not thinking of potential risks but only potential rewards and himself. Clark and Lois are rightfully thinking of the family as a whole and potential risks
