Been looking at getting a lift for a while now - this looks to be the best out there in terms of platform size. Thanks for posting this video up 👍🏻

Just ordered mine. Will be here by the 8th June. No more backache and laying down to get to the underside.

Bought one over 10yrs ago as i got fed up scrabbling about on the floor. And it was a life changing purchase. Because of space limitations my bike has to live on it. I wouldn't trust the wheel clamp at all and i use stands. I dont have any real complaints about it other than those screw down stabilisers at the front, just be careful how much you screw them down as it can make it unstable. I keep meaning to change the castors for decent teflon ones so it moves about easier. And replace the wheel lock for one of those that lock automatically as you push the bike in. To date the ram has never leaked, but im assured by a guy that i work with , that its repairable. If i was going to buy one again i would have the air assist up one. It does however stick in my throat as it was made in China as i detest buying Chinese made products.

Same as you, definitely life changing and due to a lack of room one of my bikes is always parked on it. Since this video I only use paddock stands to support the bike and if I’m going to be pulling bits about, like yanking wheels off, I’ll put a strap across the paddock stand to stop the bike from rolling anywhere. Since extending my shed this has got to be my best purchase/ upgrade 👍 Thanks for watching and commenting 🙏

Ratchet straps are key 😉👍🏻

They certainly are 👍

Nice video - thanks for this. Would you reckon the use of a paddock stand would be ok rather than the ratchet straps?

Hi, i have used the ramp several times in the previous 11 months and no longer use the wheel clamp/strap setup and only use paddock stands. I put it on a rear paddock stand and then strap the paddock stand to the ramp itself so the bike cannot roll backwards or forwards, this allows me complete access to the rear wheel. If I’m taking out the front wheel I use a paddock stand that lifts the forks, to be able to achieve this I take off the black wheel stop at the front of the ramp. I’ll possibly do an update video on how I use the ramp now in comparison to when i first got it. Hope this helps, thanks for watching and commenting 👍

@@bikerantics5001 that sounds good, many thanks for your reply, and for the video! I see draper and sealey also do these sort of bike lifts but they are slightly more expensive

could you tell me what height the table sits at when resting on the safety bar, got limited ceiling height and wanted to check before ordering and having to cut a hole in the ceiling for the handlebars
@bikerantics50012 жыл бұрын
Hi, I have limited height as well and have to remove the screen on my GSXS to lift it. . . but it’s worth it👍 I’m actually on holiday at the moment, so when i get back I’ll have a measure and let you know👍
