Clash hates Root Riders spam army lol. After the first nerf, Apprentice Warden helped basically get back the HP we lost in the nerf so they nerfed him too.

I think they should buff some of those rarely-used super troops like Super Valks, Super Giants, Super Miners, etc. This will add a lot more variety to the meta so that everyone and their cat isn't spamming root riders.

I don’t think it would change much in standard tournaments since it’s also about speed. It’s a fast attack since you can just spam your troops, not worry about walls fcking up the pathing since root riders don’t even know what a wall is, the “funneling” doesn’t require much itself, and overall just a very forgiving strat. The only thing similar to this is edrag spam but at least with edrag it has a higher chance of failing. It’s a weird place to be in since buffing defenses just indirectly nerfs other troops while nerfing the root riders too much would be just lazy. I think they need to either add a new mechanic or a defense.

If they nerf an equipment it will inevitably cause backlash when people get locked onto what becomes obsolete after the nerf. Since everyone has the same equipment the fix is a proportional defence boost.

Yeah the issue is maxing equipment is such a grind so many players would be furious. It’s easier to just nerf root riders and buff defenses. All the defenses could use some love. Attacking now is in a much better place than it was when th15 was the max because of equipment.

Instead of nerfing root riders, why don't they add new levels to the eagle artillery, monolith, builder huts and other remaining defences? Also they should give a new weapon to the townhall. The giga inferno has not changed since townhall 13 and by now it feels kinda unoriginal and lame... they should also add back the 5 star townhall system which bring design changes to the townhall too since a lot of people don't like the design of this new townhall... I really feel they should add a townhall boundary which comes to all the townhalls at the 5 star level which enhances the look. Please convey this to the clash team.

All other ideas aside, the new levels to defenses or buffing defenses generally indirectly nerfs other troops as well. You can’t buff things that kills other things if only one thing has over bloated stats. I think, the addition of another mechanic is what needs to be done. Since playing with troop and defense stats is getting old. Adding more levels so that we need to farm more and wait 2 weeks is just giving an illusion of more content. Adding more mechanics to fights via new building/defenses that does different things either offensively or defensively will make players need to actually plan out their attacks because the problem also stems from the fact that root riders just stomp bases, literally and figuratively, without any planning involved. In boom beach they have a building that gives a shield to another building, and you can’t attack the protected building before destroying the defense that gave it its shield. Something like that.

Yeah the last th15 challenge showed us there is a tremendous amount of RNG in the game. I have a few accounts so i did the "Last th15 challenge" probably about 10 times or so. Hit the base the exact same way and 2 out of ten im swagging 1-2 freeze spells. Other times hitting the exact same way im failing either on time or just put right getting an absolute fail. I really hope they dont catter to these cry babies saying its to easy. Cause it was not enjoyable at th15 at all.

Okay, lets take the game back a 2 star game, so we can watch some pros being able to 3 star, while being content with 1 and 2 stars. Clash has already lost 200k players during the old TH 15 times. Guess they want to lose another 200k by listening to a 0.01% of players who truly master the game. Guess what once more players leave coc, there Will be no more sponsors for tournaments. After all, not everyone has the time to invest into truly mastering the game. I am a player right from the start and I was about to delete the game being stuck at TH 15 mediocrity. The new update made it fun again, and no. I am not constantly 3starring even today. And my base is also not constantly 3 starred.

Yeah, that's a shame. Been playing COC for 9 years. Was fun playing with root riders along with other updates in TH16. Kinda like a breath of fresh air. If they make it as difficult as TH15 was before TH16 tho, I might stop playing the game, if it gets too hard to play.

i get this, but the th14 meta was perfect with a good balance th13s couldn't even think of getting 3 stars on th14s, and casuals would get 3 stars every now and then th15 was bad, impossible for casuals to triple other th15s th16 is also bad, with th15s tripling th16s with relative ease we need the th13, 14 meta back

I am gonna stay at th13, I just don’t see the point of upgrading your townhall anymore, all the heros, all the pets and all of the hero equipment is really ruining the the aspect of wanting to defend your base… 😢 I don’t understand why people are so obsessed that they have to three star a base. Like there are no reward whatsoever to how much effort you put into something, defense and offense.

There are few players in my clan that stay on TH 13, forever. A couple of players who pushed to 14 kinda regret it. Of course they're pretty content with standard equipments and old TH 13 meta. They're casual players who just want to have fun, while still connected to old friends. Not really competitive and pro players, loved by Supercell.

I'm the same, I've been playing this game since like 2014 and atp I have no motivation to upgrade past th13. The attacks look awful, there's so much shit to upgrade, and I just don't really see the point. Its like there's multiple phases in this game. Th1-10, th11-13, and then th14-16.

Sure, spam and fail because any good attacker knows drags/edrags/super drags are not easy to use. You cannot just drop 6-7 dragons and expect it will take out a th 16.

The fundamental problem with Equipments is that you actually cant nerf it, Imagine the eternal tomb getting a massive nerf, all the ores that were put into it is wasted, cuz if we knew that it is gonna be nerfed we could have invested it in another equipment

Stil need nerf. Root Rider being able to destroy walls is too strong, and not to mention they are defense seeking troop. Pekkas have 25 spaces, but they are worse than root riders that only have -5 spacing, higher hp, and BREAK DAMN WALLS FASTER

I mean Supercell kinda made the heros meta themselves, at the release of th14 alongside with the pets made them pretty op which could take down like half of the base alone back then. Though the more recent troops they released along with the th updates like Dragonriders, which got two nerfs, which is still massively used alot? The e-titan smash at th15(not sure if they got a nerf before, and now rr spam at th16 which also used alot too. It does make sense that heros are op and needed as part of your attack, because if they weren't, whats the point of leveling them?

Root riders are still too strong, just nerf them to not destroy the wall, or at least damage it to maximum of half wall health. They are better golems and skeleton bombs. Merged units will always be too strong.

It's a combination of the root rider mechanics and heroes suddenly becoming more powerful. RR breaking walls they touch and being able to tank with a high HP has made them the obvious choice over other tank options such as golems and giants and has also made wall breakers basically pointless. The fact that the heroes became so much more powerful, during the use of their abilities at least, doesn't help since now with a couple RR you can get your heroes deep into the base very easily whilst being supported with a tank unit for a comparatively low troop housing space. In my opinion they don't need to nerf the HP of root riders, they need to rethink their ability to collapse walls so easily. Hero equipment is going to be hard to nerf considering people spent time and potentially money investing in the equipment, so root riders and now apprentice wardens are the obvious choice for a nerf.

im F2P and also hibrid user i just get into th13, and really excited to test out apperantice warden. i dont know why i excited about it, maybe cause i just want to test out healing tomb or just because he is 'mini warden', or other irrelevent reason, but when this nerf come, it really ruined my excitement.

Well it's made my 3 star attacks go down to 1 star, so yes the nerf is definitely being felt 😑 What really pisses me off is that it's the P2W overpowered hero equipment that's the real problem, so nerfing things that F2P players have equal access to just hurts _so much_ of the average/casual playerbase without actually getting rid of the problem. It sucks.

Thank god i use dragons since the hp buff.. qc recall dragons or super archer blimp hydra. My fav combo at th 15 cause i know root riders gonna get nerfed again 😂

They need to nerf the housing space of the root rider. It’s essentially just a mega buffed super giant. Should be a 25 housing space troop and not 20

In the pro matches , no one honestly is using root riders... Then they should nerf strats like lalo and other strategies as well... I know rootriders are op at this moment but the real problem lies with the defenses of the game.... They either need to nerf all the hero equipments, and all troop levels... Or buff all the defences in the game.. This balances are not stopping the speed matches in any way...😂😂

I’m okay with Th15-16 being easier than before as a whole, but I agree root riders may still need a lil more nerf-wise. Other armies are still a lil more challenging and don’t guarantee 3 stars LOL

The design of the troop is the problem. It is a wall breaker a tank and hog rider. Put healers and troops/ heroes behind it. And GG. But sure nerf it’s hP that will change everything with 1 rage and healers it’s never going to die

I think they've gone too far nerfing Root riders. To give you a perspective, At release RR had 8000hp compared to now only 7000hp.

One thing that CLASH OF CLANS team & SUPERCELL needs to understand is that majority of their customers or players are normal skilled or zero skilled players. Only a selected few players are skilled players. So i request the team to stop making updates and changes for those minority. Its the normal skill level players that are suffering. U decrease troops strength and increase defence strength. If this goes on i am sure your customers will lose interest in this game just like your other games.
