Supercell said people stop playing when they are maxed. They actually meant that people stop PAYING when they are maxed. It is all about that money.

I have 27 elite cards because everything I do turns into elite wildcards as all of my cards are mexed. i also buy one or two every cycle as well as using gold for legendaries in the shop (they are now 15k). I don't mind spending $5.00 for a max card. BTW, don't buy the elite wildcards in the shop if you don't want to do so.

I wish Supercell would update the 2v2 matching system - it would be so easy to match people with similar personal bests on ranked mode. (edit; or previous season results or whatever you get the point) Instead I get matched with people who didn't even have ultimate champion in PoL most of the time and I have to carry the entire match and still lose half of it

I'm not surprised at all. I'm about to quit. I've already found someone who's willing to run the clan for me. The clan which I created 5 years ago and ran till this day. The only thing which kept me in game was this clan, but I'm tired of my people suffering on clan wars, unable to win, because their opponents deck's level is literally twice their level and has evolved cards in it. I had no fun "playing" this game, running the clan for last 3 years. Now it's time to finally quit, and I'm mostly happy, even though it would be sad to see clan die, and I'm most certain it will, eventually. Oh, and why "playing" is in the quotes? Because it was literally a strategic sim at this point. I played almost never played the actual battles, all the game was to me at this point is just a simulator of running the clan. I was interested in how long would it take to clan to die, but it never did. "Fine, I'll do it myself..." Edit: I left the Clan and immediately deleted CR. What a relief...

I think they gave us golds because chess give them money

the thing that suprises me the most about clash royale is that why do gems even exist if everything you buy for gems is worth less than if you pay for specific offer? even in brawl stars there is a little offers for real cash unless they are those level up one time rewards or gem discounts if i remember correctly

Boss! I am in no way in support for the level 15 or Supercell but we have to be specific in our words. It gives us a level of integrity and character that just feels better to oneself. Now, if you read that article again, it specifically says CASUAL players have a drop in activity after they max out their main deck; Most casual players are not spending $50-$100 on their main decks and then quitting. They don’t care enough about the game. It is probably one of many they play. It is the people that aren’t casual that often use a little of their own money to progress so they can enjoy their type of play, ie PoL, Trophy Road, etc. So, to say that this offer of being able to max out your main deck (8 cards to Elite Level) is hypocritical is a stretch. Supercell is definitely on a cash grab streak and that is blatant but do you think they would spend time developing a code that analyzes game play to determine if you are casual or not and in turn show you a shop offer or not? Maybe it is easier to code than I am imagining but my knowledge of code is very limited and archaic. EDIT: I am person that spends a few dollars here and there to speed up progression because I work 55 hours a week and spend time with my three children. I want to be able to compete with the better players in a chess like game that stimulates my brain and my senses like no other mobile game can. For me it is akin to a game of Pinochle (Cut throat Pinochle at that). I find it rather disappointing playing with people around my trophy level so I play Path of Legends. It feels more competitive and it really gets me going. The only reason I spend money is to progress faster because there just isn’t enough time to play due to life responsibilities. I crave competitiveness, predictions, thinking at warp speed, the sounds of all the cards being played/dying, etc. It’s something I cannot achieve watching children’s shows or playing with such young minds. A casual player most likely finds that every game is the same for them and probably never consider spending a dime on progression. I wish I could be more precise in my word and make my point much more clear BUT like I said, children, lol. I actually love these types of videos and I was sad that you hadn’t posted in a few days after giving us video after video for many days in a row. Congrats in your Global Tournament win!! I feel like if we got new cards that had the evolved cards’ abilities (maybe reworked for some or all), at least the game wouldn’t feel so stale and we’d have something new to talk about

What's worse about the 8/8 offer in the shop is.... if you buy one, it goes to 7/8. The moment you max another card to level 14.... the entire thing resets to 8/8 again. It's actually an infinite shop offer that resets every time a card hits 14. (You may have to restart the client and once I had to wait until the server progressed to the next day but regardless...) Predatory af.

Supercell could do anything short of deleting the game and they would probably get away with it.

The mage evolution could be like over-time damage [10% every second for 3s, similar to poison. More fireballs refresh the time] and burning the ground on death leaving some poison area. Obviously, can't be without a very unbalanced health and damage boost [seriously, +20% health and +10% damage]

Once you max out a deck for the first time, you can no longer use other decks because they aren't a high enough level to stand a chance, s you are locked into 1 deck for ages. I was stuck with one deck for about half a year before getting enough cards for another deck, this was before wild cards though

Any info on the cap of Elite cards? I hit a little over 400k elite cards and then I was no longer able to stack anymore. I had to upgrade 2 cards for it to start stacking more elite cards

Even evolutions are too difficult to get. They need to put more wild shards in the seasonal shop or just make them available in more areas. It takes way too long to get an evolution as a f2p player and people who did buy the evolutions have a serious advantage.

Bro I had maxed out my deck way before elite levels were introduced and I didn't left the game but started maxing out another deck because I don't want to play with only one deck, but now I don't have a single lvl 15 card and I'm not going to buy this shit

I love this event as F2P who came back because of the event, I'm convinced the 'data' who leave after max are because they have to use the same to win and get bored, I was a level 11 and I only had 2 or 3 cards at that level, but I see players with 1 or 2 level higher cards in trophy road and struggle every attack against level 14 cards in clan wars, I've able to upgrade all the cards that could be upgraded thanks to the event, 1v1 in the events is my favorite since every card is level 11 and gives me ego boost when I see the opponent is 1000+ trophies than me.

also ngl, battling constantly against fully maxed lvl 15 decks that are mostly with evolutions too while I am happy for having the deck levelled up to lvl 14 finally is just becoming sorrowful.. that plus one level means a lot in double-triple elixir time, or in overtime, they can just overwhelm underlevelled decks so easily.. especially with the evo rrs, or the evo barbs.. this whole match up thing has become a bad gambling at this point, if you wanna stand a good chance for a season as an underlevelled play with the boosted cards (containing the evo cards for sure), but usually prepare to face maxed decks at higher trophy/uc points. not a fun experience at all. furthermore poor anyone who would be about to start playing now consistently getting level 13-14 decks at around as low as 5500-5800 trophies! LMAO!! i just feel bad for any new players, cuz that's way way way worse than the complaint above. good thing tho not many ppl hit that count so easily when they just begin their journey in clash royale ig.. but still. if they take away the remaining free gems we can get from masteries, I'm quitting as well

Imagine thinking of these monetization tactics, how do you have that little morality where you think of this stuff. I think their strategy is to kill the game but to make as much money as possible in the short term honestly, because even if that isn't the case, It is guaranteed to be happening to the game. I feel like clash royale could easily have a similar status to boom beach in a year if they don't start making better decisions. Free rewards aren't going to cut it.

Recently KairosTime talked about a thing called the door in the face effect or something like that in his honest update review of Brawl Star. I feel that's exactly what happens with Clash Royale and he is just aftaid it could someday happen to Brawl. I think It'd be nice if you talked sbout that effect Its something about making the things wrong on purpose but act like it was a mistake and do something good but not that good but it's taken with more positiveness than it should cause of the previous "mistake". I feel Clash Royale just gave us the worst nerf to progression unimaginable in order to us to be happy for 2 million gold when they already tripled it before. That's why I don't like these 1.75 or the reduction in the shop costs, I am thankful but I'm still upset of the gems nerf, of the cards nerf, etc. And the cost reduction is something they should have done months or even years ago so doesn't count. What's the point of havin 2 million gold if I actually can't level up more cards to level 14, I did that already in the slash event. I'm still missing cards and now I can't buy the 500 gems in the royal tournament. I have 3 masteries that should give me enough for 2 royal tournaments rewards but I can't and I actually feel stuck right now. I've been 2 seasons trying to get one card to level 14 and I can't cause I don't get cards. I'm dependant of the store, chests (luck) and requesting cards in the clan. I don't even want to play anymore, everybody has level 15 in 8000 trophies but I don't. And it's important having as much levels 14 as possible and I also can't

Yeah, what they are doing is trying to make as much money as possible by giving players a chance to buy 8 x elite cards. Once a certain percentage of players are maxed, they will then introduce elite card level 16, and again try to encourage tons of spending to again max out. It's absolutely ridiculous.

For me I only maxed out my favorite cards. So I only have 10 Elites but that 8/8 deal looks very tempting considering the more I buy the less EWC go down to $5 I think?. At this point CR is pay to win & devs don't care so im just taking advantage as much as possible.

I'm not paying a single cent for the elite wild cards and the other two options (100k gold and 3000 GEMS) are laughable at best

Just think how expensive were super magical chest a few years ago when a plyer tried to max their favourite legendary card (4600 gems with no guaranteed chance of getting a legendary). It was the same with champions when it appeared almost 2 years ago. These offers aren't offering value at all. I appreciate when Supercell tried to offer some offers for reaching an upper arena with decent chests and ammount of cards. The game is still broken with the offers though. If we got 50k elite cards for 100k/150k gold it would be cool at least. I am thankful for the gold we got recently too. Maybe cap the gold at 10 mil because the cards require evem more than before now.

I fought a noob with 4 level 14 cards and 4 level 15, dude had no win condition and I 3-crowned him with my own hog mortar deck from 2 years ago.

The maximum I can do when I have a maxed deck is change decks, I would never quit, now I quit because it's impossible to climb up ladder, when everyone has level 15 I don't have ANY level 15 cards my main deck is on level 14 and my secondary decks are impossible to play when the level gap is 2 I can't, this is so stupid Supercell fix your game

I was a level 14 player before level 15 came out. To get to level 12 you need 34.7 king level, To get to level 13 you need 38.7 king level. To get to level 14 you need 42.7 king level, (You see the pattern? 4 king levels to upgrade king level). To get to level 15 you need 54.7 king level. It is 3 times more !!!! I should be level 15 but now stuck at level 14 with more than One hundred and fifty thousand experience needed to get to level 15. I don't have enough gold, cards to get to level 15. This is why I quit. I returned after 1.7m free gold and upgraded but still need that much xp. As a F2P player I've survived through broken new cards and champions. I would've survived the elite cards too but this king level nerf just broke my heart. Worked so hard to get to level 14.

Theyre going balls to the wall with shop offers to make up for the big drop in pass royale sales... Its idiotic, what they are doing with the game. Its like they truly have no idea what theyre doing or have any understanding of the game and its playerbase.

Honestly money is all about but they should balance it with more stuff for free to play or eco players. Maybe another ladder with lvl 11 standards or new game modes likes gc or draft challenges with good rewards. Im playing this for 7 years , 1 acc maxed was sold then i decide to became F2p player now i struggle cause i dont have enought maxed decks ( cant catch with the meta ) to try push 1-10 k global.

I thought it was pay to win but at the same time there really is no win. It’s just learning to use decks correctly. Regardless if a deck is maxed your still gonna go against skill matched players

The 1.75m gold is amazing, but most people now run out of cards to upgrade before spending the gold, so I'm surprised they haven't brought up stuff like giant chests for 50 cents or similar stuff to make people pay to spend all their gold. And the free 2 play playerse will all be thankful and that "covers" their past "sins". Still, with that, less people will buy stuff

i can absolutely see wizard being the first non-common evolution since its a midladder menace but weak in high ladder just like a lot of the other cards they made evolutions for and is only 1 rarity above common

Dev tells us that your not going to pay any gold to upgrade cards to lvl 15, but as you could see this offer and think about them... thats actually NOT true. IF 50k elite wild cards costs 7 dolars and 5k wc costs 100k gold = 50k elite wild cards costs 1mln gold.

Honestly, the reason why I think they gave us more gold was because 1: it's useless for endgame players who need elite levels so it's kinda just bonus rep points for them and 2: it gets people to level 14 faster just so they can sell more elite wild cards.

they need to realize people don't quit because they have a max deck, it's because it takes so long to upgrade your cards, so once you max out one deck you're stuck with it. adding level 15 doesn't help at all, just another trap to fall into. For F2P players, progression is basically not an option unless you have all the time in the world.

If they don’t want people to max out too fast what they could have done is made it so you can’t upgrade something past your king tower level. This may or may not be a good idea but even if it is far too late now

Actually the reason why it’s $7 for you and $10 for Brad is because he doesn’t have any level 15 cards. The more maxed cards you have the less that shop offer costs.

Level 15 doesn’t matter that much. It’s only a thing on trophy road which matters less than ladder and challenges by a lot. Level 15 is not what’s killing the game at all and anyone who says that is just overdosing on Copium and not holding the devs accountable for the lack of new cards and good balance changes recently.

Wanna fix this whole thing? Every 6 months, release cosmetic skins for troops that are themed around the season. Have each skin be able to level up, up to 3 levels. With each level, the cosmetic becomes 'cooler' add in free ways of unlocking and leveling up the cosmetics. Repeat for each 6 month season.

Drew has been saying for the past 2 months that they're working on making evolutions easier to get, but I'm assuming that's another lie. To think I've been playing this game since the very start and I still have 0 evolutions. I'm okay with them monetizing the game but giving people with evos a huge advantage is not good for a competitive game.
