Desire is a part of demand. Even if a person desires for something if he doesn't have the ability to pay and/or willingness to pay it cannot be a demand

For eg a poor person wishes to go Switzerland can be considered desire and a famous actor's wish to buy an audi car can be considered as demand. Simply because he can fulfill hi desire and the poor person cannot due to money
