I took a trip on a 376 recently from Hayes to Lewisham. The motor sounds were brilliant, but the seats were almost as bad as the 700s

@grahamf19 well, the 375/9 is high capacity 3+2 seating and the 378 is meant for metro/ non long distance travel.

having went on a 378 a few days ago, they are honestly not that bad. You also have to remember that the 378s are TFL run, and require higher capacity

How about we call it Southeastern Ex London Overground Class 378 and London Overground Ex Southeastern Class 376

The class 357 has a top speed of 100 mph but is only allowed to go 75 mph

video47 The outermost 2 coaches each end of the unit have a motor bogie under the inner end (facing towards the middle trailer)

In fact all coaches but 3rd do, 1st and 5th have it towards the end (or towards 2nd/4th coach if that’s what you’d prefer to call it) and then in 2nd and 4th coach there’s motors on both ends however the ones nearer to the trailer (3rd coach) seem to be louder sometimes

Wouldn't agree myself. Find these a tad softer than the Fainsa seats on 387s. Just no good if you're not tall enough/short enough to clear the metal bit on the seat back ;)
