Viewers.... when buying RV's, these folks did it right, older RV from a family owned manufacturer. Time causes failures in even the best family owned manufactures. Now imagine how much quicker you will have problems in publicly owned manufactures....In spite of their issues, find older RV's manufactured rigs from the era of better products and update them. Worked for me and working for these nice folks. IRV2 will guide you. Great channel here and IRV2.

National indoor RV rock, those folks know how to take care of customers. We had a hitch recall and had an appointment in sept. On the way we had engine issues( ford gas 7.3), we managed to make it there but they can’t work on Ford , so after the recall was completed they told us we could stay as long as needed to get the issue resolved. Well after a week we where able to get into the Ford commercial dealer in Atlanta, they fixed the issue the same day, another super dealer and we went on our way. So National Indoor Rv, THANK YOU , I wish we had more dealers like this

We arrived at NIRVC-Atlanta (2) days ago, and expect to be here for repairs, maintenance and upgrades for a number of weeks. Our travels would be dead in the water without them having our backs.

Mark, as always thanks for the information. I can't wait so see the conclusion. I too have a 2014 Dutch Star 4369 and just got back from Cummins after a $12,500 repair including a new exhaust manifold with 5 broken bolts, new alternator, and a new DEF header. I drove about 200 miles and now back in the repair shop for a suspected failed intake air grid heater. During the first 3 week repair the shop didn't plug my unit in and the batteries discharged extremely. During the attempted battery recovery I noticed the Magnum inverter/charger was not passing thru the 120v power. Just another repair opportunity. I love it but I didn't anticipate how much love and care ($$$) they demand. Thanks

My inverter is working fine,..........today,............but it was installed in July of 2013. When I am at NIRVC in October 2023, I will be investigating replacing it "on my schedule",.........not at some RV shop in the middle of nowhere. My batteries are Lifeline and again are working fine,........but THEY are 6 years old as well. Looking at Lithium this time around,........ Any clue on the cause of the 5 broken exhaust header bolts?

I'm planning a lithium upgrade too. My batteries were new in April 2021, but after the extended time not plugged in they are at about 1/2 capacity. I had a whistle from the engine area during idle. I noticed it when pulling to a fuel island. I didn't know if it was a leaking manifold gasket, turbo, air boost leak... I took it in and they (Cummins NPower, Oak Creek) diagnosed a leaking exhaust gasket on cylinder 6. When they removed the manifold, 5 of the bolts snapped off due to corrosion. From my research on iRV2 many repair facilities assume 3 bolts will break on disassembly. Anyway with the manifold off they identified it was out of plane by more than 8 thousandths so new exhaust manifold too. I'm keeping a running list of your repairs so I can anticipate things that might come soon to me too. So far not much intersection of the our lists. Thanks @@OurJourneyInMyles

I love your videos, they are so informative. We have a 2021 Holiday Rambler 38N. We have a leak in our black tank flush. We didn't know it until we made the connection with the water coming as we were washing the black tank. We don't move very often right now so it took a bit. It took out our Bluetooth module ($900.00) for the Firefly system in our RV and consequently, it took out our air conditioning control. We had to unplug the module to get air and lights back. Who knew they would put the water pipes on top of the electronics. **Shaking my head** in disbelief. I think it failed because of pressure, or it was not tightened properly in manufacturing - which is where we had another leak in our master bath on a month-long trip. I asked REV if they do quality checks - tech says yes - we pick a model and look at one every week for these issues - I wish they had looked at ours before we bought so they could change the water on top of the electronics/power panel. Just not a good engineering decision. ;0)

Your video captures the suspense, drama, humor, and excitement of the old matinee serials. The viewer is left on the edge of their seat wondering whether Sue will be able to roust Mark out of his near hibernation state in time to speak with Brett Davis. Then the video ends with a cliff hanger - wii the three tanks be ready in time, will NIRVC be able to install them , and will Mark and Sue have the money to pay for the repair and continue on with their never-ending adventure.

Mark and Sue…..hello from Ouray CO! Great to catch this issue before it caused a lot of damage. As a retired steely eyed army guy who always had ample access to lots of explosives, I could never compete with the destructive power of a gallon of water on the loose. Good job. I had water leaks on my last coach where water from the left front wheel would get into the electrical bay. I used sealant to stop the leak on my coach. I like the spray rubber coating I will have to look into that. If your gray tank was leaking where you talked about from something rubbing ageist it I would think repairing the damage would work because the age of the tank or failure of the tank from age was not the problem. Repair it and add a shield to protect it from additional damage.

I agree except: The fresh water tank has to come out BEFORE the Gray Tank can come out. The Gray cannot be fixed in place. Since so many plastic parts have to be twisted and removed, I do not want to take any chances with "old stuff". I want to increase the likelihood of a successful project for myself & NIRVC.

I do annual house AND chassis service at Newmar Factory Service Center in Nappannee Indiana. I pay them to check and test everything. Then they fix what I approve. They test all plumbing. I find that the service offered from ANY Newmar dealer - NIRVC included - is unsatisfactory. I only let Newmar, Cummins, and Spartan service my rig. I do purchase tires from NIRVC in fact buying 8 new tires this Thursday for my 2019 Essex 4551.

The Newmar service center is great, but you need to plan an appointment 6 to 9 months in advance. Being a full-timer, we have things always popping up that need attention. Without the (6) NIRVC locations Nationwide, we would be dead in the water a few times a year.

@@OurJourneyInMyles I understand. I have owned three Newmar diesel pushers over the years... My point is that if you pre-schedule 6-9 months in advance an annual chassis and house service with Newmar every 12 months and/or 10K miles, they may have caught this.

I see a lot of older luxury brand rigs still on the road. We are going to try to be one of those as time progresses. We have to stay ahead of all the repairs,....

I am at the facility today. We arrived 4 hours ago. I check in tomorrow. When I am done with the video, I will include the costs. Just the parts will be over $2k.

Just WOW. Incredible effort and story. I really appreciate your dedication. I am praying we dont ever have these kind of issues but I am following and impressed by the response from your friends at NIRVC.

I think a couple take-a-ways are this: 1) RV Life in general is going to have breakdowns,......and they need to be expected and budgeted for. We have been living in this RV since June of 2017,.........so this magic carpet of adventure desires the TLC. That is not to minimize that this repair is a major blow for us. 2) We would be lost if we didn't have the equivalent of "our family doctor" to always help us get health again. Like I have said in the past, without NIRVC bailing us out when the chips are down, it would be impossible to full time RV. Brett Davis is a full time RV CEO. He totally gets what your dilemma is,....

You have to laugh or you won't make it. The adventure that our 2014 Newmar Dutch Star 4369 has delivered to us has been amazing and somewhat indescribable. We know it comes at a price. It just so happens, this month, a payment on that bill is due!
