He should have stuck with them rather than his 'hangers'-on' lot - may have lived a lot longer.

correction: his colleagues, first and foremost. still most likely, the only other human beings who could sort of relate.

Phenomenal! The Million Dollar Quartet from 1956, minus Elvis, plus the Big O (Elvis' favorite singer) doing a Christmas tribute to Elvis in 1977, just a few months after he died. Outstanding!!! ❤❤❤❤❤

Absolutely Brilliant... The Million Dollar Quartet doing a tribute to Elvis. You mustn't forget this is Sister Rosetta Tharpe's song & she originally sang it with the Jordinares when Elvis was still a toddler... She was the precursor to blues, Rock n Roll...

I love all four of those guys, but my favorite solo on this song was taken by Mr. Carl Perkins.
@cajanwitch6012 жыл бұрын
Carl Perkins was one of the best. He was a prolific songwriter. Look him up & see how many other singers made it because of his music & lyrics.
@Texan1981 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely. These are four of my favorites here. Thinking about Carl, I think about my Johnny Cash Live At San Quentin albums. Carl sang his hit Blue Suede Shoes there. Elvis might be known for it, but among so many other greats, most definitely Carl’s song.

"This Train", also known as "This Train Is Bound for Glory", is a traditional American gospel song first recorded in 1922. Although its origins are unknown, the song was relatively popular during the 1920s as a religious tune, and it became a gospel hit in the late 1930s for singer-guitarist Sister Rosetta Tharpe.
