All those 1960s era cars still on the road in 1976. Even a 57 Chevy. Cars last forever in Texas. No rust, no salty roads in wintertime like in the East Coast-Buffalo and NYC for example.

Classic '70s hixploitation film. I think this particular small town in Texas used up all of their police cars chasing one guy.

Really awesome classic chase! Looks like Plymouth and AMC were popular makes for police cars! I have a Black 1971 Plymouth GTX in my Johnny Lightning collection. Now while I still have yet to add a Matador to my AMC collection, I do have a '71 Javelin, 2 1970 Rebel Machines (one a Johnny Lightning, the other being a Hot Wheels car), and a 1977 Pacer RC car.

Man that old 64 Chevy C10 can move especially with that 427 Big Block in it.

It always cracked me up to hear the tires squeal like they’re on pavement when they’re in dirt or gravel.

At that time, the world still worked. You could knock down a cop, but they kept going until they caught you. And once they caught you, they beat the crap out of you. There were no videos and crying on social media...

The Mopars were complete beasts. Many had 440 hemis, dual exhaust, DRUM brake systems that overheated, and were like tanks: Brutal and nasty. Like my love life. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

500 horsepower and handling like a rubberball on the road. But-they look wonderful and cool, those cars.

There is something awesome about these kinds of films and the scenery the cars and traveling down the open road and it was films like these that got me through rough times. Also I am surprised anime never got ideas or incorporated this type of car chase action as seeing a Dodge Charger jump over ledges in the pokemon world or a big car likes these cop cars hitting team rocket's ballin would have been funny. Furthermore thank you for these awesome vids as not only are they good but inspire ideas for art prices

I know this movie , I went and saw it at the movies with my brother and sis in law. I was 11 or 12 years old at the time. I even have a copy of it on a old VHS tape that I found about 15-20 years ago.

Bo Hopkins used to have a nice house on Lake Greenwood, in SC where I grew up. About 1ml. up the road from our house. He ended up selling it because the local lake rat criminals wouldn't stop breaking into it!
