The Renault 8 and the larger Renault 10 were produced from 1961 till 1973. The car was famous as a rally car in the Gordini version. The actress Francoise Dorleac was killed when her rented Renault 10 overturned and caught fire while she was on her way to Nice airport. She was trapped inside the burning vehicle and was seen struggling to escape but was unable to open a door or find another exit. She was subsequently only identified by a fragment of a burned cheque book...

Der R8 im 1ausschnitt War eine Gordini Version (Sportausführung) mit 4 Scheibenbremse und Sportmotor sehr teuer und selten / super Ausschnitte hätte nicht gedacht das die R8/R10 so viel.mal present war

Renault 8 was also manufactured under license in communist Romania under the name Dacia 1100 starting with 1968. Even in a communist country it did not enjoy much appreciation at that time being already outdated. It was quickly replaced in production in 1970 much more powerful Renault 12 (Dacia 1300).
