Jervonne and Russell Thacker met 4 years ago through a phone chat line. Jervonne says things between the two of them were good for a while, but she soon became bored with her husband. She says she’s been married 5 other times, each marriage only lasting for 4 years; her marriage to Russell is coming up on its 4th year. Russell says he wants to save his marriage but claims the two of them argue over everything, and that Jervonne is simply spoiled rotten. Russell says his life on the road as a photographer has caused a strain in their marriage, but he’s trying to make money to keep their life together.

I want to hug this guy, too. He’s such a jellyfish that he couldn’t even hear what the judge was asking him. He doesn’t seem to think he’s worth much more than the money. He has no fight, no self-esteem. As for her, her mother failed her, big-time. It sounds like she was raised to go after material things, not things of real value like love, fidelity, heart-to-heart connection. She’s very cynical. And she’s got a partner who lets her live down to her worst self every day. He believes in marital vows, but they’re already shattered beyond repair. It’s like believing that a pile of broken glass can still hold water. He doesn’t have a marriage. He has a parasitic, codependent relationship that will change his definition of love forever. Maybe it’s a good thing, though, because maybe he’ll see that he deserves better and can only GET better if he stands up and starts making his _own_ better instead of waiting for _her_ to change into better for him. She won’t. As Judge Lynn said, she’s quite happy in her wrong.

As someone who hasn’t been married once in comparison to a million times like this lady, I’m already a better catch. It's a coping mechanism! The other 5 husbands probably dogged her big time, causing deep hurt, and all that toxins have to get dumped some where, so she married this man, he's easy going & not home much, so she feels alone & abandoned triggering that hurt, and this is her way of hurting him by cheating, bragging about it ,and embarrassing him on national TV!
