I bought this game on launch because i really wanted a racing game to play on my PS4 but expect it to be that good, i was so wrong because i am having so much fun with this game and just like Mark said once you play it it can be quite difficult to put the game down, i really recommend this game

I think we can all (most of us) agree that the best NFS was Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit. I'm glad they tried to reboot it with Hot Pursuit in 2010 and I think that was the best NFS game since the original in 1998. The only thing that let it down was the soundtrack, which thankfully can be replaced with your own music which for me was the soundtrack from the original Hot Pursuit. So much nostalgia while driving a Lamborghini Diablo SV while listening to those old songs.

I can understand why people would like this. However for me, as long as Criterion has the NFS franchise, I won't be getting the NFS I want. Which is just one more Underground or ProStreet game.

Still disappointed by EA's lack of support for WiiU. There's a 360 and PS3 version, there should be a WiiU version as well.

I love Need for Speed Most Wanted U on my Wii U which really showed off the power the Wii U. This games looks pretty similar on PS4/XB1, but the cop pursuit modes do interest me. Kind of like Chase HQ for 2014, so I guess I will pick this up sometime soon on either my XB1 or PS4. Not sure I would pay £50 on it though due to similarities with Wii U version.

Heck of a game, I spent a week just flying through the racer career and enjoying every minute.

I like the part where the rear bumper on the Gallardo fell off when it got smashed from the front.

I feel like Need for Speed Rivals is actually the sequel to Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2010.

This is the best gameplay for this game I've seen.

The show was called the game room in the late 90's to the early 2000's when the game room was canceled it came back in 2008 I think and called it classic game room

Since Hot Pursuit, The Run and Rivals look the same and seems to play the same. Sure it has a bit fancier graphics... but come on. Same Race Formula.... Is it even possible to race LOCAL in this game?

I'm enjoying the game... but I'm having technical issues with the PS4 version. It keeps crashing out to the PS4 home screen and erasing my progress for that session. Is anyone else having this issue? It's not the PS4, because I've had no issues with Contrast, Knack, Flower or Resogun.

I'm sorry, I used to really be into the whole Need For Speed, Midnight club arcade racing game type. Which is what kind of pushed me into liking cars, working on cars and driving cars. But the funny thing is that ever since i got into real life cars and driving them fast, I really got more into the Forza series. It's a lot more grounded and i just love how you can grab some random car that you probably drive yourself or a car you used to drive and just upgrade it. Sort of like my 05 Lancer evo i used to have. It was great being able to see what i could do with it in the game. And that's where the NFS and all these other arcade racers just don't do it for me and kind of bug me and irritate me now. It seems like the car roster starts at Camaro and ends at Bugatti, with almost little to no cars outside of Italian. Yawn! Give me a Toyota Trueno or the Tercel, heck i'd take a dodge stealth over all these cars. Not to mention the Nos, and the pin-balling that you do in these games. You get awarded for crashing in here which is just stupid, Idk i'm just being picky but i like it to be more believable.

Why is there age restriction on the video?

I got this on the PS3, and it's even more fun and addictive than I thought it would be. Even though it's arcade style driving, drifting through the curves on this game is very satisfying. About the only critisism I have applies to all new games: Why is the text so damn small? Maybe I'm just old but, I have to pull up close to the tv to read this stuff. It's a real problem for me. I wish they gave us an option for larger text, on all new games, especially if I'm driving at 200 mph.

Great video as always. I really want to try the series, but i don't like the open world mechanic. For me Burnout 3 is the best game is the series. You just pick a track and start playing. Or just a HD re release of Burnout 3.

I really like this NFS game, havent enjoyed a race game this much since Underground. Hopefully the new devs will make it a reality for the new consoles. There just need to be another NFS Underground.

Need for speed games are hit or miss for me. Sometimes they are way too unrealistic. I like my racers closer to simulations these days. There's really not a lot of penalty for bad driving in this game. I like simulations, I feel good about driving with finesse.

Can you put rocket launchers in the police cars?

I'm glad you don't get ordinary cars in NFSs is because I'll probably never drive these Lambos irl anyway! I remember High Stakes started off at BMW Z3's and Aston Martin DB7's as the entry level cars!

I wonder how good the graphics could be if they made the game single player only and focused on the graphical details that actually matter.

I still haven't come across a racing game as fun as NFS Hot Pursuit 2. The control was perfect and also the sense of speed. The feeling you get when you take a corner perfectly was unmatched. This new drift centered racing and power ups just don't appeal to me. I have a ton of respect for Criterion, but just give me a racer with a good selection of fast and sexy cars, good controls that take some actual driving skill to enjoy, and pit me against the cops with NO FREAKING MARIO KART POWERUPS!
