It was Liverpool's best time for success : 13 major honours including 7 league titles. But our worst time to play United. Only 2 league wins and 2 Cup wins in 22 matches. United stayed unbeaten at Anfield from 1979 until 1988 in the league. A depressing time v United. Most of the goals we got were in draws or defeats

Jesus the kop back in the day and the terraces at old Trafford were absolutely electrifying pack jam solid with a mighty roar when they scored! When football was FOOTBALL in every sense not like today’s sterilised morbid allseater stadia😔from a BLADES Fan

The games in the 85 Fa Cup semi finals were amazing,gripping full of tension and what an atmosphere,absolutely electric. The 88 game at Anfield was something else. Great days.6>1 Amen.
