I don't understand this. Planes are designed to do relatively Safe Water Landings. It's engineered into the final product.. Choosing the beach opposed to open water is certain death. Pilots need to do this drill multiple times in the simulator to achieve their Aviation license. A pilot would never steer into land when Open Water was available. I would say there's got to be more to the story but then I remembered Opie is the one who came up with it.

It's painful... Anthony and Jimmy had to dumb themselves down to go with Opie's lack of a sense of humour or just basic smarts. Anthony is pretending that it is hard to assemble an airplane because Opie genuinely laments his inability to read diagrams. Anthony said Variable pitch propeller, so he definitely had some idea about plane parts.

The beginning is more painful with Opie not comprehending how a giant plane in an emergency glide can hit someone on the beach... Like it's a biplane who had the jogger in his sights and you can just casually move the throttle...

Lol! I was damn near that same sociopath, there was a freeway not even 100 yards from my dad's house and I would throw rocks off the cliff down to the freeway and just hear them wack into a semi truck zooming by to the point I wanted to throw a boulder down and ...yeah I'm a sociopath.

I feel Opie’s pain in this. I like Jimmy but his Chip thing is tiresome. You can tell Opie is trying to divert the conversation when Chip says “I hit a bird once”. I had a friend who was like that. He’d do really unfunny impressions and wear them out to milk as much as he could out of it. Ugh.

Can't stand Chip either. It must be an American thing to find ironic bad humour funny. It's lazy and repetitive. Jim barely spoke in this clip, he'll have been head down on his phone and then did a quick chip line and back to his phone.

That is a planecrash in the Netherlands. I live 15 minutes from that spot. I know somebody who stopped his car at the highway and started helping the people before the first responders arrived.
