This album makes me feel mixed emotions. While I like listening Toto's songs with the Frankfurt Rock Orchestra; I can imagine how Lukather, and Paich felt when they knew about this album. After all Kimball sang their parts in the songs too

A few years after this album was released he re joined the band so they couldn’t have been too angry with him.

@@AngleseyDarter Lots of people are unaware according to Steve Lukather interview on Totos 35 anniversary. He said after Joe Williams (immediately after Joes first tenure with the band) was fired from drugs and losing his voice during the SEVENTH ONE TOUR. They original planned to bring Bobby back to the band and give another him chance. In 1989, they recorded "Goin Home" with Bobby on lead vocals and yes the back vocals on the song 🎵 are David Paich and Joe Williams the latter 2 who wrote the song. The song was intended for "Toto Past to Present 1977- 1990" but the executives listened to it and said they hated the song and then forced the band to take Jean Michel Byron as their singer. I'm sure you know how that turned out. "GOIN HOME" ended up on a CD of 13 unreleased tunes called "Toto XX 1977-1997" the tour went so well, they asked Bobby to return officially released MINDFIELDS in 1998 yep Bobby's follow up to 1982s TOTO IV.

Well, I will say one thing... in November 2019, a German media report stated that Kimball is suffering from dementia. I don’t know if that is true, but I don’t know if it isn’t true neither. Just thought I’d share that bit of info while the time is still there to.

@@ShadowNinja452 Its true Bobby has DEMENTIA, his daughter Allyson confirmed it 2 yrs ago, at the same time his older died too, Bobby's had a rough path, I pray for all going through something especially at this time in our country.
