Loved watching it as a child in the sixties, and still love it. Angela and I share the same birthday, and yes, I too had a big crush on her. Interestingly, her sister Veronica starred in the original alien movie where she came to an unfortunate end in the jaws of the alien!

My favorite show as a boy! I remember seeing some of the 1st run shows; Wednesday at 7:30 PM. But I binged the show everyday when it went into syndication everyday after school. By the time I grew out of it in the early ‘70s, I graduated into the more mature Star Trek! Still love LIS for the nostalgia. Season One still holds up!

I grew up watching this as a very young child. I was hooked. I loved the adventures, the technologies, the robot and Dr Smith. I liked it in black in white. It made the show more surreal. Science fiction has always been a stable in my life, but few tv shows topped Lost In Space. That is, until Star Trek premiered. Once that started, Lost In Space fizzled out. I remember going to a toy store early 70's. I saw the B9 robot. It was huge and very realistic. I begged for It shamefully, but Christmas came and when I saw the size of one of my gifts, I knew It was the robot. We were best buddies. He kept me company every night. Especially when I became severely I'll and was hospitalized. Everyone loved my robot. Nurses, doctors, friends, family. Except for my family, that robot got me through a very tough time as a child. Never knew what became of him as the years passed, but Lost In Space was a truly awesome sci-fi tv show.......🌌JR

Yes, I know the show got very silly after the first season, but overall, I loved it. It was a talented cast, but my favorite character was Dr. Smith. As a boy at the time, I envied "Will Robinson". Of course, I loved the robot as well, and that amazing spaceship, the Jupiter 2!

I grew up watching Lost in Space. It was part of my childhood. They dont make good shows like this anymore, which is sad. It was a different time back in the mid 1960's. I miss those good ole days, that's for sure! I wish i could have a Time Machine and go back to visit those ole days. TV has changed so much for the worse. I would love to watch the re-runs!! ❤

Nice job here, enjoyed the interviews, photos, and even the background image of out of focus colored lights. This program Lost in Space remains a sentimental favorite of mine; watched reruns in the 1970's with my sister. We're fortunate today to have it streaming and on discs. I still love Dr. Smith's ridiculous shenanigans ... he became so much better and more entertaining when he changed from wanting that family dead in season one to just being a selfish and lazy coward. I enjoyed the story Harris told here about Irwin Allen being all crabby on the phone about the idea for weekly "Special Guest Star" credit, grumbling for minutes and then finally muttering "Okay" and hanging up. Now that's a fun memory. I think half the stuff Jonathan Harris says about the past is essentially ballyhoo, but I don't care; he does it so well. Bill Mumy's enthusiasm here about the role of Will is a complete hoot. But what kid at that age _wouldn't_ want to be Will Robinson and do all that cool make-believe stuff? Thanks!

One of the best opening themes from the years of Classic TV. John Williams scored the original. But I really loved the Season 3 Countdown intensity opener. Diamond Select or McFarland Toys needs to pick up the license for this show and kick out some great stuff. Especially the Giant Cyclops, Crush, Kill Destroy Robot, and Tybo the Carrot Man. So get cracking and just take my money.

Lost in Space was both unique, and a product of it's time. Remember: It was also the time of the original Batman Series! Outrageous kitsch, and farcical humor, is what made these shows so entertaining: With the end of this great era in Television, America has lost so much . . .lost so much. And we must never forget: Johnathan Harris is the one who, through his ad-lib technique, ushered in the whole "CAMP" concept for the show! All were great actors, but Johnathan Harris was pure, natural, acting genius. He made the show what it was, and thus kept it fresh and entertaining.

Season 3 was campy but was still *fun*. It's like a mix of seasons 1 and 2. Definitely an improvement on season 2, which was camp without the fun. Season 1 is dated but the earlier episodes in particular were *great*. It's all amazing, especially with the endless reuse of the same props - it's a testament to the show that it could rise over its limitations.

The content of these videos about lost in space is very well put together from many different sources. The only distracting thing is the editing of the audio. The narration is clearly done with bits and pieces and floods from one subject directly into another without even a pause in many instances. It is almost exactly like the robotic narration in so many other KZfaq videos. I have no other complaints however and I still enjoyed the memories.

Good Morning, Jonny! Always a good morning when I find one of your videos "just uploaded". =D Big fan of Lost in Space! I bought the complete series on iTunes a couple of years ago, and the funny thing about it, is that the show is so "50's White Suburbia" it should have a picket fence around it. I don't mean that disrespectfully... but all of the "1950s" dynamics are there. "The men are MEN! The women are.... well.... to be honest.... subservient." Still, it's a step back to my childhood, in that I watched it(in reruns, of course). I don't really have issues with the remakes/reboots.... but I really wish they would have left the Robot looking pretty much the same. Changing the Robot just seems wrong. I don't mind updating the characters to more contemporary norms, but leave the Robot alone! ;)

I remember Lost In Space when it first came out. As a child I loved science fiction. I liked the Will and Penny characters, ( I had a crush on Penny ) but I really disliked the Dr. Smith character. Kind of ruined it for me. So later I liked Star Trek much more, a more serious approach to the outer space thing. I guess I am one of few who did not like the character Dr. Smith as played by Harris. Just not a Harris fan. Too bad.

Likewise, I hated Smith, I think at the back of my mind I hoped the alien of the week would "get" him.... Harris himself doesn't seem like a nice guy. Though he was far too old to reprise his role, he seemed resentful of Gary Oldman. Most actors would be thrilled and honoured to be succeeded in a role by an actor of Oldman's standing, but Harris refused a cameo in the movie, unlike the rest of the cast. Harris as Smith's boss would have been awesome.

Liked watching the series in prime time on Wednesday nights, season one was the best, second series was too campy third series, the theme was getting back into space. The cast assumed after the end of the third season, they would return for a fourth season, but the network wanted to cut the budget, and Allen refused. I wonder if Allen ever thought about taking the continuation of the series to ABC since he had three series with the network ? I know he had other projects going on, just wondered if ABC wiuld have picked up the series had Allen approached them.

Understandable, but as the married widow drowned, the propane tank sang to the porpoise. When the helicopter proposed lunch, the propeller saw the midnight daylight yesterday at you. Laughingly, the robin gasped, while moonbeams ate marshmallows inside the deer. Aware of pencils, aroma heard floor tiles selling whales. Branded as lost is the umbrella, as it elopes at tires. Wherein the thesis seams chicken openly, it only missed the elevator by rainfall. Quietly, fires argue as to when the crow sounds popcorn afternoon today. Heavy borrows irrigate crime with ice cream whelps instead of Krylon drips.

Gene Roddenberry was WAY AHEAD of Irwin Allen.

A feature film AND another LIS series followed our enjoyment of the show in the mid-sixties. Were those an improvement? Naw, not in the slightest!

Please Color Season One Of Lost in Space. In Black and White The First Season In Unwatchable. It has the best episodes of the series. Season One Was Great . If the show was left the way season one was made. Then The series Would have lasted 6 or 7 Years

NASA was worried about the wrong thing, If you're trying to portray a society way into the future, being accurate with that day's technology, was irrelevant.

After the first season it was lame. Dr. Smith was a saboteur that became a doofus.

I loved the first couple years but by the last year the show got rather campy. Really lost interest in it and didn't miss it when it was cancelled.

Could there have been two very different characters that an actor is best known for than Guy Williams? As Zorro, he was a charming, dashing, debonair swashbuckler. As Professor Robinson, he was a serious, straight laced, conservative family man. And Marta Kristen, as Judy Robinson, was my very first crush! I watched Lost In Space just to look at her beautiful self. Of course, I was just a kid at the time, and I wouldn't have known what to do if I actually met her back then. It was criminal in how they so underused her in the series!
