Hi sir. I'm Brazilian, a singer and, modesty aside, a connoisseur of Brazilian music. I want to suggest the video "BADEN POWELL- SAMBA TRISTE (1970)" , you can find it here on KZfaq. This was the man who influenced generations in Brazil, including Yamandu. sacred monster of Brazilian music. You'll love it, trust me. A hug

It is extraordinary to hear a bit of Brazil in this notoriously Argentinian piece ❤. I don't understand much of music but I feel the "chorinho" parts in this "tango". Incredibly beautiful as usual. Thank you for your analysis. I always learn a lot from it and come to appreciate the artist even more. My Brazilian ❤️ is proud!

Hello, Sir!!👋WOW there are so many elements I love here: from the nice choice of song by the legendary 'Carlitos' & masterful guitar playing by Yamandu, to your remarkable discussion of the whole performance... thank you very much for continuing exploring our South American rich musical culture (Argentina also has true musical jewels that I hope you can visit in the future)! Lastly, I should mention some other important highlights for me in this reaction: - I’m very happy every time I see you holding/strumming your acoustic guitar (the genuine intimacy between a musician and their instrument is one of the most beautiful relationships I’ve ever seen in life)🥰; - I loved when you said “… but with Yamandu it just seems a bit more chromatic” (I think I’m starting to get the chromaticism thing by ear and I never think it’s too much when you offer new examples to us)😊; - ‘Yamanduism’: is brilliant and I hope it’s ok to borrow this new vocabulary from you!😄

Incredible reaction and fantastic performance by Yamandu. I love how you can break down the song and the performance and explore how each element and nuance contributes to the whole piece. Makes us appreciate the song and the performance even more. He performed "Adios Nonino" Tango to celebrate Astor Piazolla's 100th anniversary. Incredible how he can make his guitar do justice to the song without an orchestra behind it. Here's the link: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mdOnp9dptqilaJc.html

The version of the film is gorgeous and aristocratic as you pointed out. Here Yamandu uses those intense sttacatto parts to make it sound very rhythmic and expressive, and that is how the popular tango sounds.

Brazilian Music is underrated by the English world(more popular in France or Spain), from 60s to 70s, Bossa Nova and Samba were dominated in the west, but nowadays declined. I recommand Salomão Soares and André Mehmari as the representation of the Contemporary Brazilian pianists, André Mehmari is well educated by the classic piano tech, but also the brazilian origin.

Bravo for this new video, giving visibility to the classical guitar and leaving another analysis of Yamandu Costa's technique. I already recommended you to do an analysis of Paco de Lucia, about whom, upon his death, 10 years ago, Yamandu commented "who plays popular guitar in the world and was not influenced by him?". His best known song is Entre dos aguas, although his technique can be seen in any video, with an impeccable technique and an immense sensitivity when it comes to rhythm and intensity. Here I leave you again the link to this song, kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aNWpm8-SyZyYXac.html
