Lock you Down is such a weird song, I love it tho. First time I heard it I was just listening to the album on Spotify when it came out and I wasn’t really paying attention since I was studying. Then almost at the end of the song baam Jonghyun’s high note and “down down down down” hit me and I was so confused. I knew it had to be him, our angelic honey voiced boy ❤️

The same thing happened to me!! I was drawing and lock you down came on. At first I didn’t noticed Jonghyun’s voice until the very end and had to look up the lyrics to make sure that was his voice.

I knew they were releasing a track with Jonghyun and I purposely avoided the song for a month after release because I wasn't ready yet. But when I did listen, gosh. It shooked me (especially the first rap parts of Key and Minho) and I bawled my eyes out when I heard Jjong. But I super super suuuuper love the song the first time!!!

Is this the B side of their new album/EP? If it does, then the rumours are indeed true, SM artirts are really shining in their B side songs. Never shy with experimenting new sounds, "weird" chords and progression, and still with almost angelic harmonies in their vocals. Never stan to boy group, but I will gladly listening to a really great vocal group. Kudos

@@ANDSTONE100 Honestly, I've never listened to Kpop album before, only the MV from singles in KZfaq. But after watching a lot from ReacttotheK series, I'm starting to appreciate Kpop songs not just because the interesting MV, but also for the song in itself. Now I'm a bit interested in K-Indie artists/band such as Dean, Hyukoh, Peppertones, or with Idol group with different vibe such as Dreamcatcher. This group really reminds me on my love affair with anime songs.

‘Lock you down’ in my first listen was an instant like. As soon as I heard my man’s voice I could understand why it was a special track. I love the beat of it. ‘Retro’ is also another favourite. As I’m typing this I’m already singing to it. I’m glad you guys enjoyed the listen. Shawols surely did. 5HINee forever ❤️🙏🏾

Yes, time to move on from Taem's transformation because the other members are back from the military and bringing it! They are all grown men and there's so much more to enjoy and discuss about them than the stories about a child who hadn't undergone a voice change yet. For example, it's a miracle that Onew's surgery didn't end or change his singing. 💎💎💎💎💎

@@4Peace. I made a similar comment on Onew's voice on another video...I'm so happy for him before us fans, that it remained intact! There is hardly a voice out there in Kpop or elsewhere, that sounds like him.

im crying. these were the two songs I'm in love with out of all the songs on the album series and I really hoped you would listen to them! I'm thankful you guys chose SHINee as the first group to react to 💕 Lock You Down, it always bothered me there was no "chorus" which makes sense as the song was probably not fully completed. But I love the song anyways. Im always so thankful for that song. It sort of brought that closure to Jonghyun's death that I needed.

Thank you for the quality reaction, I'm a proud Shawol Lock you down immediately felt special to me but I had to listen to it a 2nd time right after to understand what was happening musically. SHINee' songs are gems, even if you listen to it well, you'll be able to feel and hear multiples layers to it! I could spend a life to detail it all :)

You should listen to the live version of one of the six songs that they promoted. Good evening, all day all night, I want you, who waits for love, our page and tonight. The live performances are the best !!! They did a great job. they make you remember one more time why they are called CDnee and Yes. Onew, is always nice to hear his voice :3 But Chemestry is very cool I think maybe... React to Electric? hehe I don't know, I just love all the songs (You&I and I say...love them too)

Ah! i really love these songs, well almost all the songs of The history of light series are so good. Shinee is really a talented group that continue to offer great and different stuff to the k-pop. When I first heard Lock you down, I was like 'What am I listening to!?' I was in a bus and I missed my stop because I was so immersed in the song, I was like concentrating on the song, trying to understand it.. Then I realised how SHINee it is ❤️❤️❤️❤️ and retro was the song I kept bobbing my head to. It is very ummm groovy! 😍😍 Love both of these!! 💞💞💞💞💞💞

I had the same reaction to the beginning of Lock You Down as most of them did on my first listen. Classical musician as well (cellist) and was totally weirded out. Got more used to it the more I listened so it all worked out in the end. Definitely think the 'weird' is part of the songs charm. It's also SHINee's charm as well. 'Let's do weird shit and do it well' is totally their motto. Love seeing new shawols in the making. I react like this whenever i listen to their new songs so it's really fun to see others do it and compare notes. Thanks for your awesome channel!
