My name is Josh. Subtitles:21 languages. Morissette has a powerful voice and great control. Her tone is very resonant and she brought a lot of feeling with this performance, which is a critical element in music, in my opinion. I can't wait to see more of her performances. Thank you for watching my reactions.

For me Morissette Amon vocal ability is so amazing that's why for me she's the Best Female Singer today, she has clear and clean tone, clear word pronunciations, great control of low and high notes, she can squeak, growl, vocal breaks, whistle etc., sings with emotions......👑😍🇵🇭

I’ve watched this video hundreds of times and I still get chills on her opening notes. Her squeak is 100% intentional. Like colors on a palette, it’s just one of the tools she uses to paint her words. This is still the best version I've seen out and I've watched a lot! Once you see her sing this, every one else seems weaker in comparison. It's not just her ability to sing it well it's also her tone. Lots of women thin out at the top so it's more piercing but not necessarily in a good way (at least for my taste).

She definitely has full control of her voice. Nothing is ever accidental with her. Not saying just because I’m a fan. My favorite vocalist ever! You have to react to more of her songs! Rise up acapella is great! Love her renditions of theater songs, “defying gravity” and “she used to be mine” If you want some live stage performances then go with “2017 asia’s song festival “ or “live in Toronto” songs.... but honestly there are so many vids, it’s so hard to choose.

This is so beautiful, and you are very right: when it is comming out of the heart.... that is so special. Even more special by Morisette is that she is doing all this vocal acrobatics, if I may say so, sitting on a chaire... Very impressive to do it standing up, but this is amazing. And vocalists singing with their heart: check on Amira Willighagen when you like. She is a 16 years old girl from the Netherlands. Since 2018 she lives in South Africa. In 2013, aged 9(!), she has won Holland Got Talent presenting herself with performing "O mio babino caro" without having any vocal lessons in advance, and she received the "Golden buzzert" with that: she has learned singing herself by watching KZfaq video's. In the final of that series she has performed "Nessun Dorma". In summer 2013, still aged 9, she performed "O mio babino caro" in the Dutch city of Maastricht with André Rieu in front of 11,000 people. At that time she had had a few vocal lessons and you can hear the difference. Because still goes to school there are not very many video's on KZfaq, but the video which are available are ... well take a look at it when you like.

Wow Morissette!! 😊...I think you have one of the best way of reacting songs 👍 Morissette is a master of her vocal instrument though she didn’t really have much of a thorough vocal training which is mind boggling considering she sounds so good and BTW that whistle note is one her specialties 😊 she’s pretty good at it even better that Mariah I think. She did that live on full display in front of huge crowd in 2017 Asia song festival singing a Mariah song ....prettty amazing you should check that out 😊...new sub here by the way 👍

Most seem to refer to it as a vocal break, not a whistle (which of course she also has). It's completely intentional, although by it's nature I believe it's inherently at a certain point in her range. One where a normal human, rather than one with a superpower like her, might break OUT of control and lose the note. With her it's just kind of a flip. A controlled, rounded version of what people do accidentally.

Thank you Josh for your reaction to "Never Enough" by Morissette Amon. Well thought out and informative as usual. You stated that this was one of the best cover versions of the song you have heard by a vocalist or a group. I would like to introduce you to a Quartet that has covered the same song. They are called Super Vocal Boys. They came from the Chinese Vocal Musical Competition Program called Super Vocal which aired in 2019. These 4 gentlemen were put together from the top 6 performers to compete on Singer 2019 about a third of the way through the Program. The Super Vocal Boys Quartet consists of: (1. Ayunga, 32 year old Tenor. Been compared with Tengger. Amazing singer. Very theatrical. (2. Zheng Yunlong, 30 year old Tenor. Has earned the title of “Prince of Musicals”. (3. Cai Chengyu, 22 years old. Operatic and Tenor voice. (4. Ju Hongchuan, 27 years old. King of Harmonization. Their rendition of “Never Enough” is fantastic and inspiring. The way Morissette blends and manipulates notes, is much I'd think as a Van Groh, or Rembrandt, mixing colors on a pallet, creating transitions from a morning sky, rising on a autumn forest. Her cracks, squeaks, growls are all intentional. She is one of the best vocal technicians I have heard. Her delivery in how she makes you feel the story of the lyrics. Her emotions are contagious. She Use To Be Mind, from the Waitress, will show that emotion. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eamfiMmFxNW8m6M.html will also be able to see how down to earth and humble she is ,when she did these 6 Broadway themes.

asians specially Filipino singers are adept in vowel placement from e to i and u to o to produce amazing vocal theatrics; that's why Filipinos when classically trained become chameleons jumping from one genre to another. guess the passion to sing, raw talent, culturally gifted asians coupled with technical skills become powerhouse singers.

Her cracks are intentional, she's got one particular song entitled Naririnig Mo Ba where she showed how good she is in her vocal ornaments, while she's got covers and original songs that have zero voice cracks, in one of her past interviews she said it really depends on how a piece is being arranged for her, if it needs cracks and growls to add more emotions and, passion to her delivery she will do it all.

Hi Josh ! I am one of your French subscribers and I particularly appreciate all your reaction videos. I appreciate the quality of your comments and your explanations. It's a real more for the performances of the artists you present. I also really like the respect you show towards your subscribers as well as your humility and your humanity. It's very rare on KZfaq ! As for Morissette, reacting to Rise Up and Defying Gravity is a really good choice. Regarding Rise Up there are two very different versions and both are really remarkable: The one of Wish 107.5 which is old : kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rLhkqdKCvNHLp2g.html And the most recent, with 3rd Avenue : kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r9RzodOJlbWXoYk.html You can listen and react to both because it's worth it. When it comes to Defying Gravity I prefer The Parc Foundation version because it is in public and again it is amazing : kzfaq.info/get/bejne/adWmqKeAlbfYoqs.html Otherwise, there are two other Filipino female singers that you should be interested in : First KZ Tandingan. I suggest you a link to his interpretation of Say Something : kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m7qDZ5tpucCdY3U.html And then Katrina Velarde. The only singer that I have heard that maintains the 'eeee' sound instead of going to that 'maeaeaae' sound is Kelly Clarkson. Oh, every time you say you are winding it back you've actually moved it ahead. I don't mind but two times you were going to wind it back so we could hear her vocal break, or squeak, but what happened is you wound it forward. Just thought you would want to know. How much fun would it be to sit down with her and talk shop? I don't know that much about music, probably more than I think maybe just short on proper terms and such. But can you imagine doing that talking to her about the stuff she can do. Great reaction, you are one of the few vocal teachers that doesn't have to prove how much you know on every little phrase or nuance that comes down the pike. So thank you for that.
