he actually played Qg5 instead of gxf3, the reason gxf3 happened was because principal of the school cheated and changed his move in order to expel him from the school. still a shit game though

I appreciate the attempt at recreating the full game, gotta say though that the analysis is a bit lacking at times, but thanks for the vid. Btw, as an Italian, “fianchetto” is pronounced with a k sound not a ch. “fianke(rosene)tto”

thx for the feedback, this vid was a spur of the moment decision cause I was mad that there was no vid up after a day of the episode release but it is somewhat obsolete now. also a while back I was learning classical latin for a time and I still have that bad habit with the c's and overcorrect with soft c sounds even when they are actually hard c sounds whenever I say any word I see as romantic. fianchetto being a hard c word is very interesting tho

that pawn take was an obvious blunder, and sakayanagi is a high rated player. to not notice such a blunder was kinda disappointing

given white would then need to sac the queen I would think so, however given the somewhat dubious nature of some of these moves I wouldn't bet on it 100%

They say she is a genius of chess lmao. Unnecessary Queen Sacrifice that blundered a mate. If Sakayanagi took the Knight with Bishop instead then that would be Mate in 1 or so I thought because Ayanokoji still has a counter. WQe8 check, BK to H7 avoiding the check, WQe4 check again and also a move that destroys the Mate in 1.
