Spongebob will always have a space in our hearts. It was the first coin pusher we played as a family on vacation. We didn't know about completing card sets so when the scanned our cards and the bonus popped we started jumping up and down like we won the lottery. lol This video showed just how hard it is to get cards out of the corner on this pusher and that Spongebob always breaks on me when we play. :) Loved this vid!

EvanTheArcader It was over $50. By my calculations, they needed 350 chips to make this possible. At the current rate, of $50 for 300 chips with an additional $6 supercharge getting an additional 75 chips, and seeing how the game is 5.2 credits per swipe and 5 swipes is 75 plays, he needed 67 swipes to be able to play 999 times. His actual swipes totaled 1001 plays, but the game maxes out at 999 plays. PS, I looked up the service manual, and yes, the advantage of 75 plays for 5 swipes is the maximum discount this game offers. It restarts at 1 swipe = 12 plays after every 5 swipes otherwise the bonus is x^11+x with x being the number of swipes. 🤙🏻😜🧐

ya I went to db a few days ago.. it costs on average 10.8 credits per round of coin pusher.. each 10.8 credits gives you 8 tokens so 999/8 = 125 so 125*10.8 = 1348.65 so about 1349 credits.. and last I recall this equates to about $200.00 worth of credits to play 999 games of spongebob.

Also answering the question if it was worth it, I would say only if there are some gary's in the machine, or the machine is filled with a bunch of cards, that are near the left, center, or a little bit to the right

Another time I actually shook the machine at an Dave & Busters that is the main Dave & Busters in Hollywood, I did get a spongebob squarepants card, but I broke the machine, and just walked away. Another time at the same exact one, I got a Pearl card which was my first one, and they told me that you can actually use this card at any other D&B location in the state, or I think even in the U.S., which is nice because some locations have different bonus amounts.

A few times that has happened to me where I had to wait a few minutes for coins to catch up. Also another thing I tried is that I did about 2 swipes on the two spongebob machines, to see which one gives more tickets.

if its a dollar per swipe which i imagine it is because thats the norm, you needed to swipe 84 times to get 999 plays which means you spent 84 dollars for 2200 ticket...which probably won you a glowing bouncy ball from the vendor....GOOD JOB!

I have the manual for this game, and there's no setting for the chance of it landing on 8 or 15. But there must be some way to rig it, as the one in my arcade never ever lands on 8 or 15! I've seen some others elsewhere that land on 15 quite frequently though...

I can't tell what actually makes the cards drop on this game seems like you get alot of coins thru that square hole and nothing comes out.

In the middle of the game theres this circle shaped board thats has lights going in circles. Whenever a coin goes through that square (aka pineapples), whatever that light was on, thats what you can win. You can win things such as more tokens that fall onto the game field to card drops.

Sponge bob game is a rip off. It pushes all the cards to the left and right. And then they sit there piling up and won't fall. Don't waste your time. You get better tickets for complete card sets on the other style coin pushers like Star Trek and wizard of oz.
