As a young black American man who has parents that grew up in the Jim Crow era, when I saw the title of this song and the band that was singing this song, I thought I was going to be incredibly offended, but I'm not. Though the word in question is the title of the song, this song wholeheartedly *_denounces_* that word. And if you didn't pick up on that, then you clearly did not take time to listen to the lyrics.
@HellbirdIVАй бұрын
I wouldn't say it denonuces the _word_ itself - the point, after all, is that it _is_ just a word, and it can't hurt you, which is why they go out of their way to use and overuse it. It's like a Boondocks joke, using the word to deprive it of its inherent toxicity. It builds up an immunity, if you like. The lyrics are on the other hand _very_ clear that the song is unquestionably anti-racist and anti-white supremacist. _"There ain't such thing called superior race - and there aint' nothin' special 'bout the color of your face."_ Anybody who misses that because of the word "nigga" being repeated, well... kind of proving the need for this song.

A word has no meaning without context and intent.... But this somehow seems to have gone lost in tha last 10 years. Awesome song good message, and in your face way to bring it.

Yeah nothing better than a group of white people telling black people not to say the "n" word while they say it about 50 times themselves.

@@batdorfvideo seems you don't understand the meaning of the song or the time it was produced. Well done you are part of the problem...

@@steveluth3139 Lol I understand what the song is trying to do. I also understand why it's ridiculous. At the end of the day, all this song is is a group of white people telling black people how they should behave. White people trying to educate black people on their own damn history and current state. It's laughable. The N word is just the cherry on top of what makes this song perfectly stupid

Yes it does

@@steveluth3139 The song is the sensible middle ground: it doesn't assume that it is a magic evil word, but the song is about why the word is stupid, even when black people use it.
