@Carla Thompson I know right that’s what I prefer, but when I am very verbally direct with my ex at few times early. She didn’t really consider it that much and I felt so hurt when I had feelings for her, but I know I will get away fast when she’s with someone else. It felt somewhat hurtful when she came back with me, but had a crush shortly when she was away.

don’t worry, one day you’ll get used to it and tired of it. i’ve been watching for almost 3 months straight every single day. stay strong and move forward. wish her the best and focus on yourself from now on. she’s not with you now so you’re gonna be independent. take care of yourself and work on it

@@petrosk7789 hmm it’s been like 3 months? since two days after christmas last year and now she’s sorta dating someone who happens to be one of my mutual friend i follow on insta. he’s a hi bye friend in clubs. sometimes i would compare myself to him, i know i shouldn’t but it seems that they deserve each other. there will be ups and downs. some days you might feel great, some days not.

Last I contacted him he's acting like I broke up with him. To be honest it's just been a month since the breakup but I'm not really sure its even a breakup or he is pouting🤷🏽‍♀️

Well I messed up. He did the whole "you deserve better, you should date other people, I have a lot going on in my life, etc... etc..." and I took him at his word and didn’t want to cross his boundaries so I gave him space thinking I'd hear from him when he was ready 🤦‍♀️ He told me to try online dating so I did. I wanted to be with him the whole time but I didn't want to be pushy 😢 Welp, now 6 months have gone by with no contact. I think I really f-d up by not showing him my feelings were real. I think about him every single day and cry about it a lot. It's such a mess

advice from 14:00 onwards is really GOLD!!! I wish I did this at the crisis point, he was saying things that made me realise if I stuck my neck out we might be in a different situation... hmm... been 9 weeks now since we both blocked each other again :/ other advisors are telling me to keep away... so is my ego at this point.

The problem is that all of my exes are either Dismissive Avoidant or Fearful Avoidant attachment styles, pathological narcissists, or both- and the abject cruelty of the way they end the relationship is an absolute dealbreaker to my ever letting them into my life again, no matter how good the rest of it might have been or how sorry they may claim to be. My second problem with this type of coaching is that it constantly tells the discarded partner to suppress their own needs to express our justified hurt and anger at the way we were dumped; along with our justified demand for amends and reparations for harms done. Every one of your videos that I've listened to keeps telling the dumpee to shove that all under the rug, then when the ex comes back, "don't act mad at them because they might have a feeling they don't like and go away again." Um, what right does that person have to comfort or convenience after what they did? Why should it be considered normal for them not to have to suffer pain or face any consequences for their actions, and why should we not get to require that they make it right? It's been very useful listening to these and going No Contact, because as I've done so I've realized what I'm simply not going to put up with, and if getting an ex back means having to accept the treatment I got on their way out and act like it never happened, no ex is worth that.

Asked my ex-wife what assumption did she feel I make the most. Her response: “That I won’t give you a chance to show me the good on you. You constantly stand behind that notion to avoid actually trying.” Won’t lie. I’m pretty aloof on how to take that response, as I was asking about assumptions in general, not just relationships. She always says I assume too much instead of actually communicating.

Oh man, I would say the same to my ex-husband 😅 His favorite thing to say is "I was never going to make you happy". Such a cop out since he never actually listened when I told him what would make me happy and never even tried. I would have been more than happy to get back together and repair our relationship if he'd stopped acting on his assumptions and just listened to what I said instead

@@creatureofstyle I’ll admit that it was easier to give up than to try. I made this comment two years, so I’m bringing a lot of perspective back to this post. And I appreciate you sharing your experience as well. As men, we are often taught how to work on everything but our intimate relationships, and what we learn in that area often comes from observing those around us. We’re not allowed to fully process our emotions.

I imagine most who find your videos are more than likely hurting and looking for answers and for me personally, I'd be internally or even verbally responding to your videos with my reactions as I watch them cuz im a sensitive crybaby however, whether i like it or not, you actually give true mature advice thats legitimate with genuine results that work and are real. But because I react like " no! I dont wanna! I wanna blah blah waaahh" that usually tells me its the right thing to do if it aligns with what i really want and so your dry humor makes the little angry hurting inner chid of mine quit the tantrum so that i can retain the reasons behind whatever you say that I react to so that I better understand my situation and not let this little angry reactive punk come out while im dealing with my situation so PLEASE dont second guess your humor! I need it haha could be worse, you could have a bad habit of over complicating terrible analogies! Ahem Dry sense of humor suits you well sir. Thank you for all that you do.

We entered the crisis point and she told me to move on because she didn’t want me to feel like I was just waiting around I pushed back slightly then said ok She called me the next morning and I haven’t heard from her since I’m back into no contact

You have to be communicating on some level, hopefully a higher level, in order for any of these recommendations to be helpful . If you cannot even communicate , then a different approach is needed.

Clay, my ex n I share the same friends group n until recently, they kept telling him to give us another chance. He shared with me his emotions on the issue and said that if he gives me a chance it won’t be fair to me because he’ll keep feeling everything I do is to impress him so that he can trust the relationship again. And he doesn’t trust the relationship which is why he can’t give this another chance. I listened to your advice and validated all his feelings and he appreciated it. How can I really make him trust that this relationship won’t end up hurting him again?

I would say don't overdo things. As in don't put in too much into it. Keep things relatively simple, similar to how you behaved before when things were normal. But changed behavior and consistency with that is what will slowly buy surely get him to trust you again because he will start to feel that your changes are actually permanent and not just temporary to get him back. In short, don't overcompensate because it will come off as fake

When i refer to changed behavior,i refer to changed behavior in the area that broke his trust and caused the break up. Remember, words mean nothing and actions mean everything. Changed behavior is the greatest apology

Can anyone help please my ex dumped me coming up 8 weeks ago, she says she doesn’t love me anymore and she doesn’t want to be with me and she wants to be on her own and live on her own, she is also suffering with mental health badly, I see a lot of signs that she does want to be with me like she lets me hug her and kiss her on the head, we still communicate really well and have a laugh and joke with each other and a little bit of flirting, we currently still live together because we have kids and the house, we had a deep conversation a few days ago and I told her I was going to move out and move on with my life and said it doesn’t have to be this way blah blah, she cried and said she doesn’t want me to move out because she’s scared of being on her own and doing life on her own which I understand, I really want to be with her she is the love of my life and my soul mate and I know she feels the same, I’m really stuck on what to do? If someone really loved you they would never break up with you. My ex fiance broke up with me April 1...this is day 11 of no contact and i am losing hope. He always contacted me often every day and from April 1 nothing. Except when I text him he texts me back immediately . But he was really mean from April 1 to April 21....blaming me for everything. It's like he was waiting for me to contact him so he could take all his hurt out on me

He was still complaining and texting " this relationship this that" and saying he is not giving when I was flirting with him in as if HE'S doing no contact ...he would always say it's over when he's angry but I'd do the chasing and itd be over in one day. Clay, I enjoy your content, but the way you ask for likes and subscribing turns me away. It feels needy. Everyone knows how youtube works, you don't have to explain how it helps you in such detail. Other people say they like how you did it in this video, so obviously take this with a grain of salt - and you're probably referencing youtube statistics in how you're making these decisions - but I'm just giving you my honest feedback. My advice is to just say it in the beginning of the video and at the end: "if you would like more of this content hit like and subscribe". I would laser focus in and cut away all extra talking. My two cents.
