If you can find a small rectangular table, you won’t lose as much space. IKEA has some that are really inexpensive, and you can buy them unfinished. Then you can keep your island! Smart husband-no opinion...lol! If you are missing your kitchen set...for sure re-do it and put it back in your kitchen. I think it would look awesome painted...and give you a bit more room to set & have family meals. Can't wait to see if you redo it! Great video.

You may be too young to remember, but the green Pinalen is what Pinesol USED to smell like back in the day. They changed the Pinesol formula a while back. I bought some Pinesol last year and almost cried. Pinalen is all I use now because Pinesol just doesn't smell right. Smells too much like chemicals. I am so glad you found it!! I have been meaning to come in and leave a comment about it but I just kept forgetting. Lol. Enjoy!!!

Yes! Bring a table back in and paint it white, but put a big rug under it like how you have a rug under the island now. Just make sure it’s big enough for the chairs to go under. It will make that spot cozy looking and more finished.

I'm so happy that I found your channel ❤ I deal with depression & anxiety on such a level that it just about took me outta here 💔 the cause of my depression & anxiety, came from losing the only brother I had when he was 32 years old, & we lost him in such a horrific way, I haven't even yet came to terms with what happened. BUT, I found a way to deal when my "episodes" would get so bad they would become crippling........and that is to CLEAN! So I literally found your channel at the perfect time lol. Nothing makes me feel better than a spotless home, I've always been super clean & OCD, but when my brother died, those words took on a whole new meaning. Of course my family thinks I need help......which no doubt, I probably do, but I don't ever wanna resort to having to take meds, I'd rather clean! Lol

It's awesome to see another woman take pride in her home, I clean everyday, yesterday I slacked off a little due to having a sinus infection, but today I just want to get back in the routine, I am thinking some furniture polish spray on living room , bedrooms, and I really want to tackle the basement living area. Easy supper for tonite crockpot roast. Here I am 315 am up with the dogs because I went to bed at 8 30pm.... As always another awesome video, love the Christmas decor. Painting the table is an awesome idea, but one thing to ask yourself......would you use the table enough to justify giving up the extra space created in your kitchen without it.....we use our kitchen table nightly for supper for the four of us, it's a six foot long table, my boys are 6 footers now so for us that table is comfortable, I was telling hubby when the boys move out I want to keep my 1950s metal and burgundy chairs and buy a smaller 1950s table just for us to use. We also dont have a counter a bar stools in our kitchen.

I bought some of that stone work sticky wall vinyl like you have in your kitchen and it looks amazing. Works great behind the wall where I keep my trash can. Easy to wipe down as well. I also did Along the wood on the very bottom of my cabinets. Must have been hard work doing it all on your backsplash! I suck at cutting straight lines🤣

I have a double sink as well and found a dish rack that fits down in on side of the sink, now it drains right down the sink plus it is below eye level. What a small drop leaf table in the kitchen, something that the stools would fit under. I have a drop leaf in my and it's great to pull out when we are actually going to eat at it but takes up less space when the leaves are dropped.

I would bring back in your kitchen table, but I wouldn't paint it if it's real wood. Different colors, textures of wood look great together. It's a nice contrast between the shades of your wood floors and table. I would decorate the table with a centerpiece and place mats first. Then if you feel like there's to much of a wood look or feel, then paint the table.

I use the green pinallen it is my favorite smell. I like it better than pinesol smell wise. I like to add a little Murphy's oil soap to thw mix too shines my floor and smells so clean.

I personally think y'all need a dining table, even if you leave the extender out so it's only for 4 people. The table is a place where we can detox from tv, have good conversations with our kids during dinner after school, help with homework, do art projects and so much more. Plus, if y'all do put it back you can try and set a house rule that everyone eats meals at the table to help cut down on any crumbs or spills. Winter food like chili and lasagna and stew aren't exactly easy to get out of a couch! Our kitchen is smaller than yours and we put in a larger Island for more counter space and still have our dining table, we leave it round unless it's a bigger meal like Christmas. It can feel crowded in the kitchen when everyone is in there but I def think the table pulls us all together, even if it's someone sitting at the table and talking while the other person cooks. My parents always had told us that dinner was eaten at the table as a family, I still try to do that but my kids are older now. Funny though because I'll sit at the table by myself to have toast or a bowl of cereal. My dishes (except my mug) are never found anywhere else in the house and I love that! I def recommend not putting a rug under it though, that will help it to feel bigger still and make it much easier to clean under. 💜💗💞

I don’t know if you have tried them but I buy the swiffer wet mop pads that already have the cleaner on it. I love them! I use the lavender scent and they work like a charm.
