You have to take care removing the mouthpiece, drying around the bite sensor, and putting the mouthpiece back on. The last thing anyone wants to do is damage the bite sensor on their Aerophone wind synth. This video shows how I do this.
NOTES:
When removing the mouthpiece I push straight up until the bottom of the mouthpiece is clear of the rings then I guide the mouthpiece slightly towards me as I lift it off. Basically I lift it off in line with the sensor arm to avoid contact with it.
When replacing the mouthpiece I bring it in parallel to the sensor arm and when the bottom edge of the mouthpiece meets the upper ring, I straighten it and pull it down.
For washing the mouthpiece I use warm water, and paper towels to wash and to dry.

After cleaning the mouthpiece of a Roland Aerophone Pro, it is generally recommended to recalibrate the instrument. This is because cleaning the mouthpiece can slightly alter its position or the pressure sensors' sensitivity, which can affect the instrument's response.

After taking off the mouthpiece, are you using a dry napkin or are you wetting it?

I run the mouthpiece under the tap (warm water) and then dry it with a paper towel. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.

How often do you clean the mouthpiece on my real sax i swab every time and clean fully once per week

Thanks for watching and subscribing. I usually clean every time because I don't have a stand so it goes back in the bag and I don't want it to go mouldy. There is also a sink nearby so it's easy to do. I'm fortunate that the default settings work for me so I don't have to recalibrate or anything after cleaning. My sax stays out so it gets cleaned less often as I'm less worried about strange things growing on it!

Any reason why you do not remove the reed? It is probably not worth risking wear to the screw connection on the mouthpiece.

Thanks for watching and commenting. Yes that screw doesn't look like it would handle much removal and replacement without stripping the thread in the mouthpiece.

I think it is OK to remove the reed. I’ve done it a couple of times. But just remember it is just a plastic mouthpiece. If you get crazy with over-tightening you will strip the threads. Just snug the screw until it stops. You’ll be OK.
