Growing up I've always been taught that as a black female I am to be tough, provide for myself, as well as "boss" in these eyes of others. As of resent I have been breaking away from that due to God showing me through the bible that I suppose to be a soft kind hearted women (opposite of all I've been taught) I want to wear dresses, be submissive (in the right moments) soft spoken, as well as a homemaker. I'm turning 20 this year and I get so much slack for wanting to be a feminine women. I just wanted to say I feel so safe on your channel. I learn more about what I want to do as well as how to do it. Thank you for somewhat being a role model for me ❤️

My mom and dad moved in with my husband and I in 2011. My dad died in 2013 of cancer. My mom has had cancer, too, but was all removed surgically. She had a hard recovery with me as her caretaker. She will be 87 in March. Long term care is hard but manageable with the help of my Lord and my husband. God bless you as you care for your Grumpy!♥️🌹♥️

In our Family, I usually help my Mom with most things she needs. But I can’t take all the credit. She had six of us and each one does something better than another, so that particular person assists her with the gift they were blessed with. Now, my Mother is blessed with health and an exceptional mind so she can do everything without us but since my Dad passed 17 years ago someone is by her side. You see my Mom and Dad had a love affair with one another. She still reads all the cards or notes he left her. Lots of beautiful memories. He treated her like a Queen. 💕

Nikki, I just want you to know how much you have helped me up my standard of clean. I consider myself a pretty sanitary person in my home but your example of the routines and keeping that bar high for every single day has really helped me. I realize now how much I would let something get filthy before I cleaned it. Now I don’t wait for it to look dirty. I just clean it regularly. Sounds gross but I didn’t think it was going too long without cleaning it but you really helped me see that every single day is the day something should be at its best, not a day that something should be in the process of degrading until I decide it qualifies to take time to clean. I realize now just how not clean I was before. You have given me a lot of understanding for how to keep my house clean. Your curtains have inspired me too and I wish you did more interior decor videos. Feminine decor is so rare.

Its sooo heartwarming to hear that there are grandchildren like you!!! I know of awful happenings where parents are totally blindsided and neglected.... we don`t realize how quick time flies and we in the same position..old and frail....Its our duty to find time to do good.... so much meaningless time spent on things that bring no value to a person ..... you don`t have to look far to gain blessings in your life...its right under your nose!!

As they grew up they too started bringing their kids which are the great grandskids to see my parents after church. Those moments are so precious. My father passed in 2017 And my mom passed in 2021,my father in law passed in 2016 my mother in law passed in 2019. I am so grateful my grandkids had a relationship with their great grandparents

I don't have a honey do list as I'm a single mother. I've bought an 1858 farmhouse that I'm restoring on my own. I've learnt to do most things for myself and am ok with that. I also run a sanctuary so can't really have designated days for anything. If a call comes in for a rescue I need to drop everything and help that animal. Btw, my children are all adults except for my youngest who is only 17. It's just her and I now and it looks like when the time comes she will take over running the sanctuary. Love your uploads though xx

I treat my stay at home status as a job. Just like my husband goes to work and works every day from 9 to 6 I feel responsible to also do work in the day hours. Some times I look at the dishwasher and think why do I have to do this again and then I remind myself every job has the monotone tasks that need to be done.

Having a home maintenance list with pictures is a good idea. One less thing floating around in your head. I personally like doing some of those more than some cleaning tasks 🤭 cleaning toilets and mopping/steaming 🤭 so I'd probably swap some of them lol. I think a list posted on the fridge to pick from could be a good idea for some.

Nikki, you are the a pitta me of a proverbs 31 wife, plus honoring your father and your mother and your grandparents and you are so gentile in everything that you say and your actions show the elegance of womanhood of being a woman, wife, mother, friend, and a family member, as I have watched you during this video the gentleness of how you take that beautiful vase of flowers in your bedroom and you gently dust them in place them back gently on the dresser, I feel is the way that God treats his children he gently nudged them and he loves them and he’s very apparent that you have a love for your home your family and friends and it exudes over these videos and it inspires and gives women courage to step out and take care of their family and take pride in their home. You haveTreasures in heaven pretty lady, and the Lord will look at you and say well done my good and faithful servant. Nikki, thank you for your kindness that you show people and I would just like to say that I am legally blind and I use voice text when I make a comment so if there is misspelling or an English error please know that you can read between the lines and figure out what I am saying,🙋🏻‍♀️

One of the greatest honor's I've had was to help care for my Aunt, I adored her and she's has been gone 18 years and I still miss her deeply. When she was in her last stages but still home I worked full time then after work I would drive a hour each way to sit with her to give her husband and children a break. She could no longer speak but her eyes still told me how much she loved me, holding her hand and stroking her hair gave me time to tell her what she meant to me. When she passed her family was on one side holding her hand and I on the other. By doing this I had peace when she passed and I know I will see her again.

Some of you are very fortunate to have your grandparents that's not the same for all us. My maternal grandmother passed before I was even born my surrogate grammy(my sisters grandmother) passed away in 2016 and my paternal grandparents have been gone since before I even knew about them. Both me and my husbands fathers have passed so we only have our moms living. Sometimes we aren't blessed with the best or most perfect parents but we only have one set of parents and we owe it to them to pay them the highest regards as much as we humanly can(that means a lot different things to many of us) I enjoy spending time with my mother in law, she's the polar opposite of my mother yet thier lives share some of the same tragedies..it's amazing how one person takes a tragedy and turns it into a victory yet the other person decides to live in self pity and regret...the story of our lives...some of us will take those tragedies to our graves with us. Anyways love others always as long as they are breathing they deserve love even when they least deserve it! Peace and Love to all of you! 🙏🏽💖

Nikki, you are absolutely correct, there Is a peace, I call it a still comfortable peace that comes only from God, when we continue on in life after the passing of our loved ones that we took care of. I do not have any regrets, or any guilt. I took care of my Mom from 2005 until her passing in Sept 2020. It was only the last year that she became totally depended upon me. It was an honor, a priveledge, and yes, a joy to have those years and that time with my previous Mother. God was there each and every step of the way. I find myself smiling often as I recognise her in me😊. You were and are a Blessing Nikki. I tell everyone, always honor their elderly, or ill family members. The reward will be with them for the death of their lives❤

Lovely video Nikki 💗 thank you for sharing. My list of things to do around the house is so long 😣 but it will eventually all get done. My hubby helps out where he can but doesn't really have a clue when it comes to DIY as he was never encouraged by his dad, health issues stop him from being able to help much now as well. Thankfully both my parents were very encouraging when it came to DIY projects and so I am very comfortable tackling them. I have some health issues, and really have to budget my energy. Because of this, I know my home will never be as clean as most people’s. But I have found that for me, working in 20 min. spurts has worked well. I can do 20 min, and a lot can get done in 20 min. If it’s a difficult day health wise, I may only get one 20 min. spurt done. A good day maybe 4 or 5. But I feel good knowing I got SOMEthing done. 😅

That will be a fun video to make! I'm not sure, with a lot of them I have seen I would say no but it really depends on the coverage and what it looks like. I personally like to follow the line of a dress so if the dress has a V, I'd want whatever is adding extra coverage under it to also be a V.

That's so kind of you to say. My girls wake up for school when I get home and wake them with the smell of a big breakfast. They mainly shower at night but if they skip, they have to quickly do so in the morning. My son has his alarm and I also wake him before I leave in the morning. As of right now they are all in distance learning but soon they may be going a couple of days a week which we will cross that bridge when we get there. These days, they are all quite capable of getting themselves ready for the day though. Gone are the days of babies and toddlers. Part of our job is to work ourselves out of certain jobs so they can be self sufficient. I've made this a huge priority.

Your Grandmother was a very blessed woman to have had a granddaughter as yourself. You were there when she needed you. Physically she is gone, but she would be forever in your heart. She was a great inspiration to and taught you how to be the great lady you are. I am so sorry for your lost.

I did without a word at the end of the "when there are no words" clean with me video. I appreciate your condolences. Thank you for your kind words and thoughts Dori.

I have a problem with serving my family because most people of my family are really toxic and I don’t know how to deal with that because one day I have My grandma as a good friend and the other day she just hate me
