I love that Chad continued cleaning even once Melissa returned. I will give myself a timetable to get something done, and am sometimes defeated if I do not make it. This was inspiring to me. Just because I do not finish tidying before [set time]...it's all right. Continue later! Thanks!!!

Self care is not a moral issue, so don't beat yourself up. I was taught that years ago and recently viewed a great Ted talk that really spelled it out well. If you watch it, you might find out you are doing better than you seem to think. If you want and can't find it, comment back, and I will. Comparison evaluations are more often not helpful until you have complete self acceptance - preaching from learnING person, so kinda bs maybe - just felt a little sad when I read your words and wishing you more happiness. Now onto the My wife has a bizarre quirk: she hates seeing cleaning being done... unless it is a toilet she doesn't need soon... and needs a pumice stone - that is one of the things that first garnered her attention on me 26 years ago... Haha Glad to see this lovely couple together - replaces vague jealousy with empathetic joy for them. - not sure who I had a crush on , but I had a vague sense of jealousy when I saw them each alone before. Why do I do tmi all the time!? Laugh at me: I will laugh with you. Be well.

I love when these nice big pretty new-ish homes need cleaning. My home is 80 years old and floods on occasion. So even when it's clean, never really feels "clean". I could legit watch this all day.

Omg saaaaaaaaaaame!!!!! We just bought an 80s home 3 months ago that hasn't been maintained very well, so right now it still looks awful even though I know it's clean. Can't wait until we finish replacing the floors and painting so it will actually look clean!!!

Yees! So true! 1950 modest home... Still feels dirty. Especially with having to be in remodeling stages every now and then. My hardwood floors need to be refinished and part of my kitchen is missing right now. I gotta get my sht together. At least, Now I know what's been missing in my life. A new house.

Just got myself ready for bed and was PLANNING to “cheat” just this one night and leave my kitchen in it’s horrendous state - for context, my husband’s been traveling for the past two weeks, I’ve been home with our 3 little daughters, and my dishwasher has been broken for the past few days. 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Getting myself up and #cleaningwithchad because after all, I do NOT want to wake up to the mess!!!! Clean or not (though clean is obviously better), your home is absolutely gorgeous. The flooring, the natural light, the artwork, the wall colors...there’s aesthetic interest throughout the house without it looking cluttered or tacky. Beautifully designed!
